ACCEL Replacement Ignition SuperCoils Reviews

More Spark, More Go!

Reviewed By ADAM A (HARLEM, GA) Reviewed for a 2007 Ford Mustang —8/4/2014 2:33 AM

This was a replacement for the OEM coil. The advertised extra 15% output was the selling point for me. Accel has been around a longtime, and they know performance. Adding this coil to an overall Tune upgrade was ideal for extra HP and MPG. Acceleration for my sluggish 4.0 V6 improved from 7.1 seconds to 6.8 seconds in the 0-60mph range. The 90Day only warranty for an American made product, and no Accel decal would be the only drawback I could find.

Quality Product at a Fair Price

Reviewed By Thomas L (La Verne, CA) Reviewed for a 2002 Ford Mustang —4/15/2014 9:12 PM

Used this to protect the wiring for oil and water temp gauges routed near some hot components. Worked perfectly. Decent price for quality product. Recommended to protect wiring from indirect heat sources.

Pertronix Flame Thrower HC Ignition Coils Reviews

60,000 volt HC coil

Reviewed By Steven D (MURFREESBORO, TN) Reviewed for a 1986 Ford Thunderbird —10/4/2014 10:17 AM

The Flame Thrower HC coil and the Flame Thrower ignition module for my stock application with the Ford factory 2.3 liter 4 cylinder multi-fuel injected turbocharged ran to lean, missed and cutout. For a modified application of my engine needing a hotter spark it would be great. The factory coil after researching is 40,000 volts, so I have ordered the Flame Thrower TFI for Ford ignitions rated at 50,000 volts, Pt.# D3003.
