Subaru Ignition Systems

I had a friend who was a bad combination of hardheaded and mechanically incompetent. His girlfriend was worried about him driving home after boozing so she made him install a Subaru ignition lock on his vehicle so that it wouldn't start after he'd drank alcohol. She should have paid the extra couple bucks to get it professionally installed because he wired it himself backwards and the car wouldn't start unless he had beer on his breath. He had to choose between being home late and dealing with her or having beer on his breath.and dealing with her. I think she eventually made him get a bicycle, which is tough because he works 2 miles from his house, and he lives in Alaska. The moral of the story is to properly wire your Subaru ignition parts or you may end up out in the cold.
