my question is how will these plugs help with a motor thats running rich ; i have a quad set up of 4 carbs on a 4 cylinder motor ; motor is rebuilt has a 10-1 compression ; 4-2-1 headers etc. will these help with the rich fuel fouling my champion 12y plugs.

That is going to depend on how rich your engine is running. I can see the Pulstar providing a better spark and a cleaner burn but it sounds like you may have a different issue if one or more cylinders are experiencing a rich condition. The compression ratio change and headers will certainly have an effect on how the carburetors will react due to the changes in engine vacuum signal as well as the total CFM's of your four carb setup. You certainly have more than enough CFM's to run at high rpm but you might have too many to allow the carbs to function properly through the idle circuits as the lower engine vacuum will cause the fuel to dribble rather than atomize from the carburetors. I would recommend the use of a carburetor flow gauge if you are using Weber side draft carbs. You may have to re-jet them to prevent plug fouling.
