What's the worst part of pitching a tent? Struggling with the poles! The same is true for old-school Jeep soft tops. Trying to get the support frame and bows perfectly aligned with the soft top is enough to send the most cool-headed DIY-er into an obscenity-laced rage. Instead of fighting with frames, pickup the revolutionary Rampage Frameless Trail Top Jeep Soft Top.
Rampage followed a single principle when designing the Frameless Trail Top Jeep Soft Top: no frames, no fuss. After toiling in their R&D department, they developed a simple soft top that mounts directly to your factory roll cage. Besides being easier to install, your Rampage Jeep Soft Top has larger side windows for better visibility on the trail and in traffic. All three windows unzip and store in a built-in roof pocket for a breezy Safari Top. For a quieter, more comfortable cockpit, your Frameless Soft Top has integrated front panel supports that reduce flutter and improve water runoff to prevent pooling.
From the OEM-grade fabric to the marine-grade window zippers, Rampage constructs your Frameless Trail Top Jeep Soft Top from trail-rated materials. And, it's fully weatherproof, thanks to its heat-sealed seams and its snug fit in your Rampage aftermarket windshield channel and door channels (not included). Pick from multiple colors. 2-year warranty included.

I am so happy with my new Wrangler frameless top. The design is very clever and I actually like it better than the original. It was fairly easy to install, the windows are bigger and the pocket for the windows when you take them out is wonderful. I haven't taken it off yet, so can't say how easy that will be, but am confident I'll be happy. Shipping was quick and I was very pleased with my experience with AutoAnything.

It was a bit difficult to instal, took three grown men, but once it strectched out a bit and was in place it was well worth the effort. Looks and rides great, absolutely no complaints and would recommend this to every Jeep owner I know.

This is an overall good soft top. The quality of the materiel is good and is very well constructed. It fits good and installation was easy.I like the fact that you can remove the windows and your ready to go with a bikini top.I don't like the rear straps being on the outside but so far it hasn't been a problem. It looks realy good and not having to deal with the frame is a big plus.

Very versatile inexpensive soft top. My Jeep only had a hard top so I had no bows, or framework for a soft top. I also wanted a bikini top. The Frameless Rampage solved both of my wants in one purchase. It fits well and is surprisingly quiet at highway speeds. The ability to carry the side and back windows safely on board when not installed is a very good feature

I liked this frameless top so much, I got rid of the ribbed one that came with my Jeep Wrangler. I never hesitate to go topless and never worry about how long it will take to put back on. I had a buddy of mine time me at 3 minutes, with the sides! Also, as an added bonus, the complete top rolls up into the size of a sling chair and stowes away in the back trunk compartment. Awesome!

We found the instructions less than helpful. We also found confusion about the need for a different windshield mount. We had a mount or we could have never installed the top. Descriptions in the instructions defining straps etc were not fimilar to the novice. Materials and construction seem ok. Zipper broke during installation.

Just bought a 2003 jeep tj sport and it only came with a hard top. Wondering if i would need anything else to make it fit? I really need a soft top.
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 06, 2012 2:30 PM
Hello Cody. In order to convert your hardtop to a soft top, you need a "complete" soft top kit. The soft top replacement kits will not come with the hardware and frame for converting your top. Take a look at the Rampage Complete Jeep Soft Top for an option that will work with your TJ. Hope that helps and enjoy your Jeep!

Are there any pieces other than the windshield channel needed for the rampage frameless soft top?

Hello, That looks like the only extra piece you need. Have a nice day and thank you for your question.
