"I found the written instructions was confusing when compared with the pictures on the instructions paper. The instructions say to place the license plate on the back plate (after the backplate is installed) then place the top of the frame, which includes the glass cover, on the bac plate and secure with the 4 screws that was included. The picture shows the license plate being secured onto the back plate. I have a 2008 Cadillac CTS that has 2 holes for securing the plate holder. I'm not sure if I installed it corretly or not."

A REAL Frame!

"I purchased a silver prestige frame for the last new car I purchased... 8 years ago! The frame still looks great, and the plate inside still looks new. This time, I purchased a black frame to match our new black car. It's quality is equal to the silver one. The only thing you need to be sure to do is to lubricate the allen screws, and be sure to NOT over-tighten them when you assemble the frame. Otherwise, you may not be able to remove them at a later time. Other then that, I have never found a frame at any auto parts store that can come close to these. Stores carry some metal frames, but they all have clear plastic to cover the plate, instead of the heavy glass that's part of the prestige frame. Why is this important? Just look at any old covertible with a plastic back window, instead of a glass one!"

"I was glad I had a live person to ask questions. Everything was as i was told. Great quality frame. Heavy duty, shiney and sleek. It was a birthday present for my husband to put on his corvette. Is not completely flush, but still looks great. My husband said it was pretty easy to install. Would definitely recommend Prestige."

"The title tells you what I think of these frames, they are the highest quality frame I have found. They seal and protect you plate from the elements and look great doing it. Not cheap but if you want the best well worth it. The one I have on my classic truck has been on the vehicle for 10 years and looks as good as the day I put it on. If you have custom plates it also offers good security as well as looks."

"I purchase a lot of other kind of License Plate covers before, but noting compair with Prestige. If you want the best, this is it. Prestige License is made from top quality material. If you put it in your hand, you can tell this License plate will last for ever. And because of the Glass cover, you never have to worry about license plate cover fading in color. If you want something to last, this License Plate is the choice."

"These frames are the answer to tag thiefs--in our state folks are stealing the year stickers off of our tags and these frames with their unique hex screws solve that problem--great product"

"this was purchased for a gift but as for my opinion when i first opened up the box and saw the frame i thought to myself, WOW! it really is a heavy, classy, sharp looking frame and i think he is going to love it on his new shiny black mazda speed 6 car! it is going to add a lot of class to the car."

"If you have a substantial car and you want your frames to have the look of substance and quality, these are for you. I have a Lexus 600hl. it's big and it need a big, good looking frame. On my car there are only the 2 top holes for scfresws so there is some worry bout the frame not being too secure and the bottom of the frame rubbing against the paint. Also because of the frames metal backing I was unable to install the frame with the screws that came with the car AND a lock washer. So until I replace the screws with longer screws, which will require dismantling the frame front and back, I wont be completely secure that it is on safely. Aside from that, it looks great. feels sturdy. If you have four screw holes for your plate you'll love it."

'04 PT Cruiser Prestige PLate Installation

"The prestige license plate frame is a good product. Installation on a 2004 PT cruiser takes some modification to the front license plate bracket. The stock factory license plate bracket is molded plastic that conforms to the shape of the bumper. The moulded plastic where the license plate mounts will not allow the prestige subplate to mount without modification to the molded plastic factory mount. I trimmed just enough material off of the molded plastic bracket( where the license plate mounts) to allow the prestige subplate to mount flat against the moulded plate. The curved part of the bracket where it meets the bumper was left untouched. I drilled four 3/4" holes in the prestige subplate bracket to align with the 4 screws that hold the moulded bracket to the bumper. Care must be taken so that the new holes in the prestige subplate align properly with the existing screws that hold the molded bracket to the bumper.I then drilled two more 1/4" holes in the prestige bracket to accomodate the lower two mounting holes of the license plate bracket. I then installed the prestige subplate to the factory molded bracket working through the 4 3/4" holes that I had previously drilled in the prestige subplate. I then secured the top of the license plate with screws into the factory molded bracket and then secured the bottom holes of the license plate with 1/4" bolts through the license plate, through the prestige subplate, and through the molded factory bracket and secured with locking nuts. I then finished off the assembly by installing the prestige lexan face plate to the subplate with the screws provided. I had previously drilled several small holes in the bottom of the prestige subplate to allow for drainage in the event any moisture would get behind the lexan and the license plate. The rear license plate was much easier. I mounted the top two holes of the prestige subplate with screws and drilled two 1/4" holes through the molded plastic bumper for the bottom two holes of the license plate. I s"

"one thing is for sure, it is heavy-duty. frame w/ glass is substantial. looks great and looks like it will protect the plate well. however, i was a little disappointed that the "security screws" that come w/ the device are nothing more than a small allen bolt. other than that, im very pleased. would definately recommend."

"i've owned one of these frames before...it lasted probably 10 years. time to replace. found it at this online site, price was worth it, and seems like i got it very quickly. if your plate must last several years (in NC they just give you renewal stickers), there's nothing like keeping it under glass, which is also sealed from moisture. if a license place gets faded by wear tear and the weather, the entire car starts to look shabby. just my $.02"

"I read great reviews about these plate frames and after having my plate pryed off my car, I wanted the best. These answered the call. I love the heavy feel to these plates. I also like the hardware which will make it difficult for theives to tamper with your registration sticker. The foam designed to keep the moisture out is a nice, thoughtfull touch. Still, I'm sure if anybody wanted to get the plate, they will. However, they'll just have to try much much harder. So much that I hope I catch them in the act. It should deter anybody with any sense to not bother."
