"I installed the headlight protection about a week ago. It was as difficult as I thought it would be at first. Once installed the protections look great. Can't even notice the covers. There were a few pockets of liquid that I could't get out, but I am assuming that they will dry up as per your directions."

"I am in Colorado, where we have a lot of gravel on the roads in the winter months-this results in broken & pitted windshields and headlamp covers. This product was easy to install & offers great protection-sure beats replacing a broken headlamp cover, and will keep your lens looking new."

Great protection

"The product is really great protection if you have headlights made of glass. My XC70 also has headlight wipers.. so, I needed something that would enable the wipers to function. X-Pel fit the bill. The glass lights on this car cost $350+ to replace.. and that doesnt include installation! This product costs a 1/5th of that. Installation takes some manual dexterity. Use of a heat gun or hair drier is MANDITORY. FOLLOW the directions included with the kit! Mine went on with no problems and the milky haze is just about fully dried and gone. Another week and the X-Pel will be completely invisible. If you dont have the dexterity, I'd recommend you take them to a window tinter for installation. I dont believe they'd charge too much to do the work. All in all, super deal."

Tricky to install

"My headlamps are oddly shaped, so the X-Pel was not easy to install. I apparently did not have my fingers wet enough while putting the panels on, so I ended up with fingerprints. I also have a bubble that has now dried in the middle. The uneven surface made it nearly impossible to have the X-Pel lay flat. I think it is a good product but can be difficult to install on some headlamps. It still is worth it to protect expensive HID headlamps."

"I really like the x pel for my headlights, BE careful and dont miss any bubbles, ONLY thing i didnt like was the fog lamps circles didnt have enough adhesive and i had a hard time installing. I dont know how long they will last befor they fall off. But all in all i did like them."

"Easy application on the flat clear lights and fog lights. The "wrap-around" parking lights were really tough. It is real important to keep the shields warm, soft and wet. It really has not been long enough yet to see if the water marks underneath the shields will disappear. All in all I like the product. It was not as difficult, with preparation, as I thought."

"The smaller lenses are relatively easy to install. However, large curved lenses, such as on the Lexus GS models, can be a real challenge. You absolutely MUST get the X-Pel and lens warm enough to mold the X-Pel to fit. You may experience air bubbles under the film which are impossible to remove. Overall, thumbs up rating."

"Easy to install and for the most part looks very clear. I did a real good job sqeeging out the solution except one quarter sized area and now its cloudy there and wont go away. A little dissapointed but Im sure it will do a great job with protection. The 3M material is very thick."
