Spyder Headlights Customer Reviews

Auto manufacturers are skilled at engineering motors dripping with power. They often come up with a trick body style to house those engines, too. But, car builders predictably fall short in one area of design: lighting. Step up the style of your asphalt devil with a fresh pair of Spyder Headlights.
Whether you’re replacing a busted factory light or simply upgrading the look of your auto, Spyder Headlights are the best choice. These Spyder lights are fully custom designed to bolt directly in place of your stock headlights. What’s more, they plug right into your factory wiring harness, so there’s no splicing, soldering or rewiring required (most vehicles)!
But, the only thing your new Spyder Headlights have in common with your tired stock headlights is the fit. Each set of headlights boasts a razor sharp design that’s light years ahead of any OEM light. Crystals. Projectors. Halos. Spyder makes a wide range of styles. And, all Spyder Headlights are fully weather sealed and DOT approved. Backed by a 90-day warranty.
Our 140+ Spyder Headlights customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

I am very disappointed with these headlights. They look great, however I had to completely rewire them for the LEDs to work. They are not at all plug-and-play as advertised. Also, I have had them for only three months and the halogen bulb has already gone out in one of them which is absolutely pathetic. I will not buy another Spyder product.

Overall I love the look of LED lights. The right headlight needed to be modified due to the allignment of the signal-pigtail-inlet conflicting with the frame of my truck. I shaved the inserts' groves so it could be repositioned. After that, lack off installation pictures lead me to scratching my grill and blowing off some steam. Wiring was easy to follow and shown clearly. The removal and allignment of the lights new guide tabs wasn't displayed or even mentioned. Once finished I was satisfied.

I ordered my lights from AutoAnything and got them pretty quick. The lights installed quickly and, I didn't have to remove the bumber cover like they say on youtube, had to do some splicing into the the fog light wiring but other than that they installed quick and give my car a great new look.

I love my spyder headlights. I loved the way they looked on my truck. Then I found out you can fit oracle halo lights in them so I am currently putting oracle color shift halos in my headlights and parking lights.

These headlights are add a great new style to my truck. However, I was unaware that by getting a 1-piece headlight to replace a 2-piece you will have to cut off the chrome grill section that runs between the headlamp and side marker lamp on a '04 Tacoma model. Also the led lights must be rewired into the vehicle wiring. Knowing this should speed up the installation process, but it is worth it.

I bought these headlights to replace my original because a lens was broken by road debris. The new headlights were a snap to put in - about 15 minutes total, and look better than the original. I've already recommended them to two friends!

These new highlights completely changed the look of my 1999 Tacoma and gave it a much needed face lift. Installation took a little creativity and basic electrician skills (stripping, splicing, testing, connecting). The enclosed instructions weren't seamless...but Youtube vids are out there which can fill in the blanks. If I had another 13 year old vehicle in need of updating and dressing up, I'd certainly be inclined to purchase another pair of Spyders.

I noticed some halo rings are white and some are blue, what determines the color?
Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 18, 2013 6:13 PM
Hi, Usually a specific blue LED is used depending on whether the brand has color options for the halo or not. Spyder will use white LED's for the most part.

Hi, I purchased my truck new and now the headlight surface is dull and at night it's hard to see the light projected onto the road. I want to replace but also want something that will require little to no customization before installing. I saw someone with the same truck but said that he had to do some sanding on the Basile to get the headlights in. Is there another mfg./model which is a closer fit for my truck? Thanks, Terry
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 26, 2013 1:37 PM
Hi Terry, The Spyder Headlights install without modifications.

If I buy headlights with halos, do I have to connect the halos for the rest of the headlight to work? I'm looking to replace my headlight housings but I don't want halos.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 15, 2013 10:32 AM
Hi, The headlights will work without the halos if you like. The headlight portion uses your factory bulbs and harness, while the halos uses its own wiring.

So if I buy the LED I have to solder connections? What would I be doing with the extra wiring? Is LED a better lighting system than CCFL? What else should I be considering before purchase?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 09, 2013 9:24 AM
Hi Matthew, Both light require soldering for the halo to function. You can splice the wires into the headlight harness or hook a switch up in the cab, it's up to you. LED light are known for lasting longer and will have a clearer light than CCFL which is a florescent light.
