They don't call ‘em “badlands" for nothing. When you're rolling around over muddy, unpaved paths, visibility is the difference between dodging tree stumps and bashing your axle into a boulder. And, the danger only grows greater after the sun sets. Instead of driving blind on backwoods roads, crank up your candle power with the Hella 550 Light Kit.
Engineered to perform in punishing off-road and rural conditions, Hella 550 lights boast long-range driving light beam patterns produced from 55W H3 bulbs. That means you can see farther ahead and react faster to hazards. You never have to worry about stones, cacti or sun-bleached cow skulls sneaking up on your 4x4 again when you ride with Hella 550 Lights.
Equally strong outside as they are inside, your Hella 550 Lamps are built tough from impact-resistant ABS and come with stone guards that deflect kicked-up rubble from smashing through the lenses. Plus, your driving light kit comes complete with everything you need for a pain-free install: a plug & play wiring harness, illuminated in-cab switch, relay and detailed instructions for an upright or pendant mount. And, Hella backs your 550 Kit with a 1-year warranty.

The lens put the light out in a flat uniform pattern. I am using them for additional light fill in under my OEM low beams. They cover from 45 degrees left to 45 degrees right. Good product, All of Hella lights are high quality.

I own a mint condition 1983 Apollo Sceptre Motor Coach that was the top of the line and a leader in developing the high-en diesel pusher RV market. The Sceptre used the best products available and cost 200K in the '80's. WHen I damaged one of my original Hella fog lams, I wanted to stay with the best-Hella, so I thought! When my Hella light kit arrived the Hella 550 lights are now made with a cheap plastic housing, are not water proof and over all a disappointment and will not go on my RV.

They were rather easy although not enough wire supplied so more had to be added an a heavy duty toggle switch had to be added as the Orig. one would burn out since not strong enough to handle the power flow I would suggest that the co. Change the On an off switch to a heaver one Ie stronger.

Mounted to grille guard and they work great and give truck a good look. Switch and wiring supplied a bit on the cheap side, had to buy a metal switch after plastic one supplied blew and smoked out.
