Description

Put the power of dichroic driving lights on the front of your car for wider beams, super white light and longer bulb life. The PIAA 1100X Platinum Dichroic Driving Lights Kit provides a dramatic difference in nighttime driving visibility for added safety in darker back roads, hills and tight corners.

The secret to dichroic lamp performance is a specially-shaped glass reflector and bulb assembly that allows heat to dissipate through the reflector, extending bulb life. And, the 1100X PIAA Lights are the most compact dichroic driving lights in the world—ideal for mounting to any vehicle.

PIAA includes everything you need for complete, straightforward installation of the Platinum Dichroic Driving Lights Kit: 2 lamps with bulbs, a pre-assembled wiring harness with relay and an in-cab control switch. Plus, your Platinum Dichroic Driving Lights carry a Lifetime Warranty.

Small space application

"Excellent quality light for a limited space application on my BMW R1100RT motorcycle. Light beam pattern supplements the factory low beam for better vision. Installation instructions and wiring diagrams easy to follow."

Lights are great harness is good, switch is fair

Posted on 07/12/2007 by Joseph E. (Maineville,OH)

"I love the form factor of the lights and the intensity and over-all quality. The wireless harness is good bu too long for some applications(adapted for most vehicles, it would be nice if there was a way to shorten the cables without splicing them for a motorcycle.) the switch works fine, but needs a better mount and needs to be, well....better. It looks like a kids toy not a high-end lighting system switch."

Amazing lights!

"I've just installed the PIAA 1100X Dichroic lights on my 07 K1200GT BMW. The quality of construction is excellent and hook up was very straightforward. The penetration thru the dark is amazing. I have easily added 75yds of distance down the road from what my low beams illuminate. My width of view off the side of the road is very good. The light is a bright white light , which compared to my low beams makes them look yellowish. My high beams are similar to the PIAA lights in color. Alone on a dark road, the PIAA lights with the high beams are very impressive and light up the night like I have never seen before on a motorcycle. (to on coming vehicles this may be quite annoying ...use highs with descression) I highly recommend these lights. here are others out there that claim to be good for a lot less in price . I have had those and they don't last. You get what you pay for and these are worth the money."

Love the lights

Posted on 09/21/2006 by John S. (Rome,NY)

"The coverage and brightness is even better than I had expected. Quality of the product is top notch. However the directions should have warned about removing the double backed adhesive before you adjust the aim. I was in very much of a hurry to get them installed and in doing so was very lucky I eye balled their ultimate position pretty close to where they needed to be aimed."

"The PIAA 1100X kit worked great for me. I installed them on my BMW R1150GS Adventure motorcycle. The kit came with everything needed all wiring, light, fuses, and relay. I tested them last weekend on a 24 hour rally. Lots of deer but the lights let me see them all."

Awesome Lights Great Price

Posted on 05/10/2006 by David G. (Roanoke,TX)

"My 2003 4Runner had punch outs for 2" Halogens. I called to price them and they wanted 800.00 per light plus an 81.00 relay. These look better than the Stock Lights for 1/10 the price. They came in the mail 3days after I ordered them. Great Website, thanks."

OK...except....

Posted on 10/16/2005 by Stephen L. (Brooklyn,NY)

"Visually the PIAA lights are perfect for the front of my new Mini Cooper Convertible. The installation (done professioanlly) proved to be more difficult than expected. The interior switch requires the lights to be manually disconnected or the lights remain on after the car is shut down. I've learned this on several occasions already! The lights do not provide any substantial improvement in illumination but I bought them to make this little car more visible and to that end they are perfect."
