I commute 130 miles to work, I leave and arrive in the dark and I depend on Hella to light my way. The option to use a driver or fog light is a cool function; I did upgrade my vehicular headlights to projectors, 6000k HID so, not being HID they're not as white but, they do function well and wiring them up was simple.

I run a night time paper run and bought the Hella Optilux lights to help find the wildlife and to keep from making it a contact sport, they do a nice job of lighting up the road in front and on the sides, but the long range was not as good as I had hoped for, but these are very well built little lights and for the price they were a great deal and I would recomend them.

wiring was straight forward, except the wires from relays to switch were too short, so had to splice in extensions. Mounted lights on grille guard. Precision alignment while tightening lock screws was near impossible. Haven't driven in fog/bad weather, yet to test fog lights, but driving lights are ineffective beyond 40-50 ft. Would not recommend.

The lights are great, the only problem i had was the switch it came with. It broke into two parts, had to by two toggle switches and wire it up differently so it would work.

I really like the metal housing and thick glass on these lights, that is good to see. The brightness is what I expected and has helped my driving on backroads. Installation was tricky, mainly because the wires from the relays to the switch are short. Make sure you map out where everything will go and get extra wire ahead of time if needed. Like others noted on here, I sealed the lenses with silicone to prevent any future leaks.

Great light when all are running.I have them in the rear. I use for plowing. I have a remote control for them. Use #10 wire when running to the rear. As I did not use relays or rocker switch. I would say buy them the price is right!!
