Description

Auto manufacturers are skilled at engineering motors dripping with power. They often come up with a trick body style to house those engines, too. But, car builders predictably fall short in one area of design: lighting. Step up the style of your asphalt devil with a fresh pair of Spyder Headlights.

Whether you’re replacing a busted factory light or simply upgrading the look of your auto, Spyder Headlights are the best choice. These Spyder lights are fully custom designed to bolt directly in place of your stock headlights. What’s more, they plug right into your factory wiring harness, so there’s no splicing, soldering or rewiring required (most vehicles)!

But, the only thing your new Spyder Headlights have in common with your tired stock headlights is the fit. Each set of headlights boasts a razor sharp design that’s light years ahead of any OEM light. Crystals. Projectors. Halos. Spyder makes a wide range of styles. And, all Spyder Headlights are fully weather sealed and DOT approved. Backed by a 30-day warranty.

I was really hoping for good performance from these headlights, but I was somewhat disappointed. It was my own fault for not fully understanding what I ordered (projector lights), considering what I wanted (HID lights). The projectors are not very bright, and what's worse, to change these headlights to an HID system is fairly involved. Actually, I'm still in the process and hoping it can be done. The look of these headlights is awesome however! I love the halo rings and leds, although two of the leds were out when I received the headlights and had them installed, so I had to buy new bulbs to get installed. I called Spyder about the brightness level, and they said they are working on new headlight technology that should be better.

Pros: o Looks amazing o Has bulbs that come with it o No condensation (so far!) o Great build quality Cons: o Halos are wired backwards (black is positive, red is negative!) o Instructions are not accurate at all; might as well throw them away (the instructions that come are for a Ford SUV, and were poorly translated from what looks to be Chinese) o Rubber on the top is put on incorrectly, you may need to take it off and refit it with some new sticky material o Turn signal housing is clear, so expect to see white turn signals unless you invest in some colored bulbs. Other Thoughts: Awesome build quality, but I can't recommend these for anyone wanting to do a quick swap. There were a lot of unexpected issues that I encountered, but the end result was worth it.

Easy install, great look, much better light output than stock. Even the wiring for the HALOs and LEDs was easy. Only negative was it did not come with the amber turn signal bulbs, and it did not reuse the oem bulbs. So, for all you future impala buyers, the bulb number is 2157A.

These Spyder headlights are pretty cool! I installed them easily but rewiring was required. Being a mechanic it wasn't a big deal. I still recomend these lights to anyone who wants to upgrade their 99 Dodge Ram.
