This bar REALLY added a Final touch to the rear of the truck.Really sharp!!! Easy to install with the controller.Just connect wires to controller and plug into trailer plug.

Not that easy

The PlasmaGlow Firestorm instructions leave a lot to be assumed. The Trailer Plug Controller does't make thing any easer to install or for instructions. To make things easier the light should come ready to connect to a trailer plug with the trailer plug controller already installed, but that would make the light bar way over priced. To bad that they don't put a little time into what model truck you are ordering for with the correct instructions.

Item arrived packed well and on time.I would rate this five stars but unit comes in two pieces with ribon wire connecting the two in the middle.installation will be difficult due to a wire run from front turn signal.I even bought the 4 pin adapter. The instructions were horrible, and uninformative.OVERALL score of four stars is for the brightness and slimness of the design.Hope the unit is water tight.I might silicon the ends to help control moisture.Word of warning,be prepared to spend 2-3 hrs.

Eye Catching!

Looks better then I imagined when ordering. You will need to have handy skills to install. On my GMC it was necessary to run signal wires from the front lights and brake light from the from the third brake light on back of upper cab, you need to remove and replace interior body parts for access.

Other than the difficult installation and having to buy extra wiring and stuff to install we love the way it looks. It is impressive and really sets the truck off.

Excellent LED Tailgate Lightbar

This light bar looks great, basically like an OEM installation. Love the sequential cycling for the directional and the various modes for the running lights, brake, turn signals & back up lights. I purchased mine along with the 4-Pin connector. The toughest part of the installation was running the power wire all the way to the battery. Very strange that the kit doesn't come with a fuse which is required for any connection to the battery. Toughest part was determining back up wire! NICE

The light is great! The only thing is that the tape didn't hold! The truck was clean & I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol & made sure it was dry! I used a hair dryer! I had to buy some double sided tape to reinstall it ! Looks great! Thanks!

I drive on the interstate in rush hour traffic, and have been rear ended a few times. I wanted to install this light bar to help with visibility. It definitely adds to the visibility factor when I hit the brakes. It is also great when backing up. The install is not for someone with no experience. I did use the converter, but still needed to splice a few wires.

My list of complaints is so extensive it is hard to know where to begin. Perhaps most disappointing was the condition of the tailgate bar itself. The surface of this $150+ product was thoroughly scratched on both sides even though it had been bubble-wrapped. More generally, the tailgate bar looked as though it had been cheaply constructed. Once again, this was very disappointing for such a prestigious product. The instructions inside were cursory at best and left much to be desired.
