X-Pel Headlight Protection Reviews

Nice product but the dark smoke is extremely dark

Reviewed By Michael a (Bay Shore, NY) —4/29/2015 2:32 AM

I installed these on my 14 grand cherokee altitude. The look was mean and the protection was great as xpel makes a very thick film that form fits to the light with a little bit of heat from a blow dryer or heat gun. Unfortunaetley they hindered the light so badly I had to remove them after only 1 week. I contacted xpel directly with photos and proof of purchase and explained to them they are just entirely too dark even with xenon headlights and fog lights. They told me too bad basically.

Awesome but seems pricy

Reviewed By Daniel T (PUTNAM VALLEY, NY) Reviewed for a 2012 Jeep Liberty —4/26/2015 4:10 PM

Fit perfectly. Look great. Seems expensive for a piece of plastic though. Still cheaper than replacing a lens. Worth the purchase. My car is grey wth black wheels, bumper, and everything else. The black covers look a lot better than the yellow stock guards.

Cheap Insurance

Reviewed By Robert K (Monson, MA) Reviewed for a 2014 Dodge Ram —11/22/2014 12:54 PM

I installed both liners in just under 45 minutes. The film took a little bit of effort to align as the cut for the reflector bump was off just a tad. I tacked the upper inboard corner 1st and worked my way down & out from there. Keep everything WET or it will stick before you have it positioned, as long as it's wet you can reposition it endlessly and stretch it as needed. They were slightly hazy at first, but are crystal clear now that the little bit of moisture from the install has evaporated.
