IPCW LED Tailgate Light Bar Reviews

Install and Appearance on a '00 Jimmy

Reviewed By John P (Manalapan, NJ) Reviewed for a 2000 GMC Jimmy —1/19/2010 11:23 AM

It's a great product, but when you buy this don't expect to be wowed by its appearance, I received it, and naturally there were some imperfections (ie: all of the LED's on the strip aren't totally aligned, they dont all point straight out, so the lighting isn't 100% even). I also caution against using the adhesive provided, in the long run, you would probably just be better screwing into your bumper. The install wasn't a massive undertaking, but I did have to install a 4 pin trailer hitch. Overall, very satisfied, and it looks great!

Hella 500 Light Kit Reviews

Good-looking light kit

Reviewed By Bob P (Rockford, IL) Reviewed for a 1995 GMC Jimmy —3/27/2008 8:12 PM

The Hella 500 light kit works great on my '95 GMC Jimmy mated to a Westin push bar. It is also a very good-looking combination. The only thing I didn't like was that the instructions insisted that the kit be wired such that it only works when the truck's stock hi-beams are on. For example, I can't turn on the Hellas if I'm using my stock low-beams.

So far so good - easy install

Reviewed By Steven T (CELINA, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 GMC Sierra —7/14/2015 6:41 AM

I installed these on a Westin Bull Bar - I had to modify the bottom of the bull bar to get it to accept the hardware on the bottom of the lights, which no one will see. Once that was done, it was a pretty easy install. it was tricky getting the nut to thread the bolt with no finger space - ended up taking off the bar and installing the lights then wiring them in. wiring was the easiest part. looks good in there - also purchased the KC stone guards - liked them better than yellow caps
