I never realized how quickly the lumens drop off on bulbs. Nor that most bulbs are rated for approx 1000 to 1500 hrs. To offset lumen loss they need to be replaced. With daylight running lights, your bulbs are almost always on. I drive nearly 20K mi/yr, @ an avg speed of 48 mph (mostly highway) 20K/48 = 417 hpyr.So I have about a 3 yr life expectancy on my bulbs. Considering I am 7 years into the original bulbs - no wonder they were so "dim" & yellow! Night and day, replacements are great!
