Two common types of headlights are incandescent and halogen. Incandescent bulbs, traditionally used by most auto manufacturers, are often found in factory style lights. When you need a performance boost, halogen headlights offer a brighter and stronger beam. And, aftermarket headlights add some visual excitement to your ride's front end. On the aftermarket side, you can pick between reflector headlights and projector headlights. Reflector headlights surround the bulb with reflective material like a hall of mirrors. When the small amount of light from the bulb is lit, it bounces off the mirrored reflectors, magnifying the light into a more powerful beam. Projector headlights work similarly to reflector headlights, but they have an added lens that helps focus the light, resulting in a more brilliant beam.
