I installed these headlights in my '07 Jeep Compass and overall, they're much brighter, whiter, and see MUCH farther than the OEM lights in had before. The biggest improvement I noticed was the distance these beams shot; I find myself staying on low beams more often than I used to because they shoot far enough on their own,and I only need high beams when I'm in the woods with no other light/traffic. Not overly impressed with their color/lack of ability to light up wet roads well, but still better than the OEMs I had. Overall, I might not have paid 80 bucks for them had I known the quality of the light, but it was still a good investment overall because they really do improve your vision.

I used the Sylvania Silverstar bulb in my other car for which PIAA does not make a bulb, and they aren't as bright. You won't mistake these for HID Xenons, and they are much more expensive than OEM replacements, but the added saftey and performance is worth it.
