Description

Ordinary rear view mirrors are a pale reflection of this fully-loaded K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror.

The K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror detects dangerous rear-approaching light and eliminates it with "intelligent" circuitry. And, less glare means less eyestrain and driver fatigue. Plus, your night driving vision stays sharp.

In addition, the K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror comes with a self-calibrating digital display compass. The mirror even has an exterior thermometer that displays temps and ice warnings. As if that weren't enough, it's equipped with handy driver and passenger side map lights.

The windshield-mounted mirror comes complete with detailed installation instructions and all necessary hardware - perfect for the experienced do-it-yourselfer or professional installer with some wiring required.   • Installation of the mirror's electronic components requires some hard wiring (see Installation Guide tab for details)
  • The Gentex Wire Cover is highly recommended if there is 3" or more space between your mirror and the headliner. It conceals otherwise loose and visible wires running to the mirror. Select this part under "optional accessories" above.

"I have had a few new cars over the years and got used to the compass and temp on the mirror as well as the auto dimming feature. I recently bought an 05 Mustang and it did not have this feature, so I got it here and I am very happy."

"Very disappointed that the wire cover was not included and is an option piece. This piece should accompany the K31 mirror for appearance, open wires showing is in exceptable for the price paid for this product."

"The temperature tends to read 4 degrees high. The auto dimming feature should be standard on every new vehicle. The compass works fine."

"This mirror was put on my 1984 El Camino. What a great change from the original manual mirror. Compass auto-corrected well. Thermometer is accurate and resolution of mirror is very good even w/ photochromics. I added the driver and passenger light upgrade option which works fine, but a little boost on lumen power with LED's might make this mirror perfect."

"This is the mirror to get if you have a '98 Sebring LXi! It connects to the stock cable/plug no problem. You just have to run the temp probe if you want the temp, otherwise it's fantastic! MUCH less expensive than OEM replacement mirror ($535 to $585 for Chrysler replacement)"
