I installed in a 2005 Honda Odyssey, replacing the OEM monochromatic mirror. Deciding which 2 of the 3 original wires to use caused much heartache on my part. The documentation included w/ mirror did not adequately label which wire was power and which was ground, necessitating analisys if the poor drawing to determine which wire connected where.

The mirror I received was in great condition due to the excellent packaging, the mirror contained all the mounting hardware and electric wiring even though for my install I did not need them. Installing was easy, the hardest part was the removal of old one. The new mirror fit the exiting windshield mounting stud and after removing the clip from the factor connector it worked with the new mirror, quick and easy install. I am very happy with this item.

I put this in my 2000 Excursion to replace the failed original mirror. It was easy. Physically, it fit the mount. Electrically, I just pulled the wires out of the original connector (lift the little tabs on the connector and pull gently). I removed the pins on the Gentex and put the Ford pins in the housing. It worked like a charm.

Took two (2) minutes to install once the old mirror assembly was removed. Converted from a mirror that had compass, temperature and auto-dimming capability to one that simply had auto-dimming feature ($100 cheaper). Mirror mounted effortlessly, because the same plug could be utilized (automobile side). That is, the temperature pin and compass pin were absent on the mirror (empty spaces on printed circuit board), and this allowed the same plug to be utilized. Plugged in the mirror, slid the mirror assembly onto the mounting button (glued to the windshield), tightened down the set screw (using 15 Torx fitting), turned the key to power the ignition/accessory, and depressed the power button on the mirror. Presto-chango: mission accomplished. Piece of cake!

I installed this myself in about 20 minutes. It would have taken me less time but I had to google the wiring diagram to find the correct wire under my dash. It was extremely easy. For appearance purposes I would highly recommend the wire cover.

Installation was a breeze on my 1998 Grand Prix. Spliced new 2 wire harness onto my existing 3 wire harness and used the plug provided with mirror. Total installation time of 15-20 minutes. Works Excellent ! Bigger panaramic view than OEM and activates ( darkens and lightens ) quicker than OEM. Very pleased with this purchase.
