"This was a replacement mirror for the stock no frills mirror on my '95 Probe GT. All the features work great. The only drawback was the installation. I paid $250 for a shop to install the mirror but they did a great job."

"I recently purchased the Gentex k31 Auto-Dimming rear view mirror w/compass,temp and lights. I love the display of the temperature and the compass. Map lights come in handy. The Auto-dimming feature is especially good. Now, when a vehile is driving with their high beams on, my eyes are not bothered. Overall, I'm very happy with my Gentex k31. This is for sure, a touch of class in my Mazda3 itouring."

"Installation was easy on a 2003 base Impala. Wiring was already in place for map lights, I just positioned temp sensor and ran wiring. Attached sensor wires at #4 & 5 terminal in existing connector. All done, about an hour."

"I titled my review seamless because it was. From ordering online to having my local automotive electronics dealer install the mirror. Everything went 1-2-3 with no problems. My electronics dealer was so impressed with the mirror that they wanted to know how they could purchase them to sell. And the best part the mirror performs just great. George M."

What a luxury mirror for Nissan

"My Altima GLE didn't equip with Auto-Dimming Mirror and didn't have Compass and Temperature displays in the car. I love to upgrade my car all the time. So, I bought the Gentex K31 Auto-Dimming Mirror, which it comes with all the great features I needed exactly. Now, my car looks even more luxury inside. I love the compass and temperature display, and the special color reading lights at night! I love this mirror! The installation was not as easy as I thought. I had the professionals from Best Buy installed for me for additional $100, where other places charge at least $150 to do the job. It took them about 1.5 hours to complete the whole installation. I highly recommend people take it to the professionals if you are not sure what you are doing because it requires some hard wiring and taking panels out and puting everything back nicely."

"This was the easiest modification I've made to a car. My truck had a mirror with map lights already and the new mirror plugged right in! I wish the instructions had included information on this possibility, but it really didn't matter. I love the new mirror and would recommend one to anyone."

"This mirror is great. It is worth every penny. Not only it dimms when it is necessary but help me go where I want to go thanks for a compass. You wont get blind with this mirror even when having a big truck behind you with its high beam light on. And my toyota truck does not have external temperature sensor so K31 is exactly what I needed. I bought this mirror to use with my Corolla, but recently I traded it for a Tundra truck and Gentex mirror works with it as excellent and with previous car. It is just equipped with Toyota style mounting foot so it should match all other Toyota's."

Great product

"I'm really happy with this mirror. It's a little wider than the OEM for my Wrangler, so the sun shades bump it on the way down. But it's nice to have the extra width. The compass is really great. Self calibrating! And the temp SEEMS accurate, from what I can tell. The temp sensor is instructed to be clipped to the under side of the bumper. It seems like that may be a target when 4 wheeling, but I haven't taken it out yet. I suppose you could put it anywhere. The quality of this mirror is excellent, though. Very happy with it."

"Product arrived very quickly. Instructions were easy to follow and I installed it with relative ease. Some wiring knowledge required. Would be better if some more detailed wiring instructions were includeded with installation instructions. All in all...a great product."

"Very easy to install. Took only 1 hour. everything worked as I expected. map lights are not super bright, but I knew that before hand. On big trucks the mirror is too far forward so the light almost shines on the dash. Great product, best price and very easy company to work with."

"I just replaced my stock 1995 Subaru Legacy rear-view mirror with the Gentex K31 mirror and it is awesome. Easy to install and wire up. Only problem is the stiffness of the Gentex mirror. You have to adjust it carefully 'cause it may pop off the windshield if you used the mounting glue. (this happend the first time I glued it on)."

"The fault of the K31 is that the map lights can be turned on manually "only". My car is a convetible and the map lights on the original mirrow were serving as dome lights. I called MITO and was told for $60.00 I could get a replacement wiring harness that would correct my problem. Since AutoAnything knew I had a convertible, I should have been informed of this problem."

"I had this feature when I had my 2003 buick lesabre, but when my car was totaled in 2003, I was devastated. I purchased another vehicle with the dimming feature but that deal fell through and then I purchased another lesabre but it did not have that feature also, nor my 2004 rendezvous. long story short, this mirror is awesome and it really helps with my nighttime driving as I have trouble with oncoming vehicle glare. I will purchase from this company again, customer service was awesome when I ordered the wrong mirror, no problem with exchanging or the refund process! I will in the near future be purchasing a GPS and will possibly order from this company! thanks again. rsa"

"This is almost the exact mirror that came in one of my GM vehicles; even the connector was the same. Very high quality, relatively easy to install, assuming you can find a switched and non-switched source of power (not easy on some cars). Fits and works great on my 2002 Grand Am GT; this type of mirror was not an option on the Grand Am, so I bought it for my daughter now that she is driving it and needs to know the temp and direction."

"This mirror is perfect! I replaced the original mirror on my Bronco and love it. The thermometer and compass are accurate, the LED map lights are bright and use very little power. I only have two complaints. The mirror didn't fit the metal mounting button on my windshield so I had to replace that. But there was one supplied with the mirror so this didn't cause too big a problem. Also, the little green light that shows the mirror has power bothers me a little. I darkened it with a black magic marker so that is no problem either. Try one, you'll love it!"
