Description

Ordinary rear view mirrors are a pale reflection of this fully-loaded K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror.

The K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror detects dangerous rear-approaching light and eliminates it with "intelligent" circuitry. And, less glare means less eyestrain and driver fatigue. Plus, your night driving vision stays sharp.

In addition, the K31 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror comes with a self-calibrating digital display compass. The mirror even has an exterior thermometer that displays temps and ice warnings. As if that weren't enough, it's equipped with handy driver and passenger side map lights.

The windshield-mounted mirror comes complete with detailed installation instructions and all necessary hardware - perfect for the experienced do-it-yourselfer or professional installer with some wiring required. "I may have assumed that this mirror would be a one for one installation. The PT cruiser I own is a dream cruiser, series four, convertible, "High Output Turbo", with an electronic mirror factory installed, but it doesn't have auto dimming. It will take some disassembly to install, but I an capable to perform the installation. One feature that will not work with this mirror is the Map lights when the doors are open. Why no wiring diagram??"

"First, installation was a breeze factory clip plugs right into the Gentex( only thing extra that needed connecting was temp....5 mins to install)I do alot of early....early morning driving to work. Before the gentex k31 i found myself constantly ajusting my mirror to stop the cars behind me from blinding me (because we all know those people that have their brights on and have no clue) now with the auto dimming, brights are not a problem anymore.....I NOW CAN DRIVE! NOT EVADE BRIGHTS!"

"The mirror was easily installed by a local installer in 45 minutes. Everything works as expected, though my wife found the dimming to make the distance between vehicles harder to judge. I'm sure that this is just something that you need to get used to. Overall, good product."
