What's more, the K5 Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror comes with a self-calibrating digital display compass. You'll always know which direction you're headed thanks to the eight directional readouts (N, NW, W SW, S, SE, E and NE).

Got the mirror a couple days after I ordered, very quick delivery. I used my existing wire to the old mirror and spliced it into the new wiring harness. Very easy to do. Works well, instructions were easy to follow, the calibration instructions worked well. Here's my issues: 1) The mirror's joints are very stiff. I moved the joints around for several minutes but it didn't seem to loosen them up. They are so tight that it took the mounting button off the window in the first day. I had to re-mount the button to reinstall the mirror. 2) The connection that plugs into the back of the mirror isn't as secure as the original mirror. It can be pulled out when putting up a sunshade for example. I may try a new wiring cover to see if that will help.

Overal it is a great mirror but the only problem was the instalation. I went to several different places and noone could successfully complete the instalation. It was only after spending most of my day driving to place to place that I find a place that could do the instalation. However, I had to then travel around most of my small town to find a glass and mirror dealer to take of the old braket, which none of them would attempt.

This mirror is of high quality and works like a charm. The auto calibration of the compass works easily. If you have knowledge to find an accessory controlled power source the installation is easy. The mirror I had in my previous auto was almost twice the price and this is equally comparable. I recommend this mirror.

I bought the Gentex mirror to replace my broken stock mirror. It was a fairly simple install as it replaced a similar mirror. But, in the event wiring needed to be done, no wiring diagram was included.

Excellet Product! Exactly as described! Installation instructions for Highlander should include removal of OEM mirror as it is fastened by a spring clip not a screw. Wiring is super simple if you have an overhead console, no need to route wires all the way to the kick panel, just tap in to existing wiring above console. Great Product! Already ordered one for my Tundra!

As long as you have a test light or "Fluke" meter, it is a no brainer. Hook the ground to the body with an exsisting body ground or make your own, then find an IGN ONLY wire with your tester and splice it with the provided connector. EASY!
