Description

Stock side-view mirrors alone can’t keep enough of a watchful eye on that expensive toy you’ve got hooked-up to your hitch. That’s why you need CIPA’s Universal Towing Mirror to lend a hand. It extends your field of vision, helping you maneuver with greater confidence.

The great feature of CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors: no tools, no hassles, no problems mounting it to your hauler. It installs on your stock side-view mirror with adjustable feet, secure clamps and a tightening knob that helps muffle annoying vibration. And, the CIPA Universal Towing Mirror comes off as easily as it goes on, for all those times you’re not towing.

CIPA designed the Universal Towing Mirror to look like a sleek addition to your factory side-view. It’s crafted from durable auto-grade ABS plastic that lasts—just like your stock mirror. And, CIPA even backs your Universal Towing Mirror with a 1-year warranty.

"Very good towing mirror for the price. Very easy to install and they work well on my truck. However, when tightening down the UTM to my stock truck mirro, it is hard to get a full grip on tightening knob. I have big hands, and my fingers don't get a complete grip around the tightening knob. I bypassed this issue by using a cloth (to protect the plastic knob handle) inside a channel lock."

"This is the best looking towing mirror that I have seen. I have used the ones that hang out from the base of the windows and have a leg that braces on the center of the door. I am planning to tow a Scamp trailer with my new VW Rabbir S. I wasn't sure I could get it to attach but it did. It is a very clever design. I haven't towed with them. I have just ordered the second one."

13 of 14 people found the following review helpful.

"I mounted the mirror on a Saturn Vue with no problems and it worked well. There is a whistling effect caused by wind through the tie-down straps which I stopped by wrapping with electrical tape. Also the plastic clips fall off easily when the mirror is not mounted on the car."

"The mirrors work. However, it took me a while to get them adjusted just right. They tended to sag badly until I figured out just how to adjust the feet. Also, a rubber pad came off one of the feet, scratching the outside of the mirror."
