Ever wish you could track your vehicle with a little black box like James Bond or Maxwell Smart? Now you can with the Escort Entourage PS GPS Tracker! Better than a shoe phone, the Entourage PS keeps tabs on your vehicle, your luggage—even your kids—instantly and in real-time. Just log onto your private network (subscription required) via smartphone or computer and start tracking.
The GPS Tracker goes beyond vehicle security. Use it to check up on teen driver’s or employee’s driving habits and whereabouts, or as added security for valuables like golf bags and luggage. Or, put one in your kid’s backpack for complete peace of mind.
The GPS Tracker’s precise location can be pinpointed in less than 20 seconds. And, user-defined security zones and tamper-sensing technology send instant alerts via text and email if the device is moving when or where it shouldn’t be.
Once logged on to your private network, the Entourage PS tracks direction and speed via Google Maps. Plus, the network may be accessed by family, friends and associates who may be interested as well. What’s more, Escort backs your Entourage PS with a 1-year warranty.

Does this operate without being connected/attached to the vehicle? Are there any restrictions as to placement to avoid blocking signals, etc.?

Hello. GPS works via satellite, so it has almost unlimited range. The only real problem might be if the device goes spelunking, because deep caves seem to block most any kind of signal. Pretty much anywhere a normal GPS nav would work, this will too. Thanks for your question!
