Charles M from , said, "I brought my unit to a local garage to install into my 2009 Tundra. The mechanic is familiar with automobile electrics and knows the Tundra. I did opt to get it hard wired and to have it permanently mounted where the ash tray was. The wiring and mounting of unit was not so much of an issue, but finding a good location for the wireless transmitter took quite a bit of time as it would not work if located in the rear fender surrounded by metal. Eventually the unit had to put under the fiberglass bed liner to work correctly. The install was not as simple as I was led to believe it would be. I ended up spending more money to have it installed than I did on the unit itself. It was my decision to have the unit mounted and hard wired as I did, as I did not want another suction cup on my windshield or cables hanging down over my dash board and plugged into the cigarette lighter. So far, so good. It seems to be working up to my expectation. I have yet to try to use it when backing up to my trailer, but am sure it will be really helpful."
