I had expected these to be semi-rigid, and molded but they are just thick, very slick plastic. Installation wasn't difficult although the photos on the sheet are grainy and I just puzzled out how to put the rear pair on. But...they extend far enough out and far enough down to truly suppress splashing--the monsoons finally hit here, and they are proving the design with each puddle. And slick as they are, they won't accumulate mud and ice--which is pretty sweet.
Whether you call them mud flaps or splash guards, these protective flaps are essential for your truck or SUV. But, before you can choose the best flaps for your vehicle, it’s important that you understand the differences between the various mud flaps and splash guards on the market.
