"Here's the deal-no one paid me to say this. If you buy a different set of nerf bars than these, go have your' head examined! These are very stout, heavy duty bars. They were a breeze to install and they look better than any of my frinds or neighbors'."

"I'm not a huge expert on nerf bars or step bars, but these seem well built and solid. They fit my truck well, look good, and attach well to the vehicle. I had a set of running boards on my previous truck which I was afraid to step on in case they would collapse, but these are very rigid.
Installation took about an hour, some of that time was just making sure my mounting areas were clean and dirt-free.
They stick out just a tad farther than I would like from the body of the truck, but that's just personal preference."

"Installed quite easily (could have been labeled left and right) in less than 45 minutes. Spent most of that time looking for tools. They look great and I hope time will tell of lasting quality"

"I chose these based on the reviews that I read here; especially the one about them holding up a 300#'er without problems.
When they arrived I thought that the finish was rusted. I found rust on them at the cuts, but it was just from manufacturing debris. Dee Zee recommends waxing them as soon as you get them; I hope that doesn't mean that they are prone to actual rust?!
The directions were more of a hindrance than a help. I have assembled a lot of things, and even the hokey Harbor Freight Chinese explosion pictures offered more help. Luckily, these are very easy to figure out. Including some tightening torque specs would be a great improvement for the future!!!
These require removing the stock cab body mounts, and then reassembling them with the brackets installed. This was no problem at all because I used my impact gun. Without them, it could have taken some time. My total installation was 1 hour from start to clean up, and it was in the dark after work in 20* weather.
I chose the 4" nerf bars because I needed a large step for my preggo wife and the dogs. I was going to buy running boards after checking out a friend's 3" nerf bars on their 1500. I'm glad that I found these, because they give me plenty of step size without the looks of running boards.
My wife likes them a lot for her side and for getting dogs (and baby soon) in and out of the back seats. She also thinks that they look great on my new '08 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 Duramax. I'm 6' with a 33" inseam, so they are pretty much in my way (don't need em at stock truck height), but they aren't for me :-) She gives them a big thumbs up."

"I thought I'd be waiting for several weeks (like other Internet sites promised), but I had them installed less than 5 days from when I ordered them. Extremely easy to install. Need only 2 sockets or wrenches and less than an hour. They look great and the 4 inch oval makes it a more secure platform for my wife to stand on and put the baby in the back seat!"

"I could not be happier with the nerf bars I purchased for my 2003 Dodge Ramm 1500 pick up. I had no problems with parts and they were very easy to install."

"They were easy to install and work great. They do make it much easier to access the front and back seats of this vehicle. Buying was easy and everything about the sale was smooth.
THANKS A LOT!

Good Product -- disappointing installation

"I was impressed with the quality of the the nerf bars but was a little disappointed that they did not live up to the "no-drill" installation. There were 3 support straps that needed holes drilled into the frame. Otherwise installation was a cinch."

"I reacently got the chrome 4 inch oval nerf bars from Dee Zee. I got them for my girlfriend's 2002 F-150 supercrew. They look very good. I dont know that i will ever go back to a 3 inch step bar ever again, expecially if it is a extended cab or 4 door. I like them real good , but i just dont know that it is really what the cost. Sure they look very cool, they are also very pricey. Hey if you have a spare $500 laying around go for it. Oh well."
