"I really liked the fact that I was able to install the nerf bars very easy. They went on like the manufacture said they would. What I dont like is that they must have been for another type of jeep because the plastic treads you would step on to get in the jeep are set to forward to be used as a step."

"I have the bars for a 4 door Tacoma and ended up putting the front brackets on the wrong sides which in turn made the bar rub my front tire in the turn. I also think the steps (plastic part) themselves could have been places differently, they aren't really in a place on the bar that I would step at."

"They were easy to install. It took me about an hour to install. I had to drill one hole for the support. They did not look like the picture on the internet. However, they look really sharp and they are sturdy. I am satisified with my purchase."

"I bought to install on my 2008 Kia Sorento. Enclosed instuction photos were so dark that yoou could not see anything. Fortunately the photos were available online. Front support brackets did not fit(1.5 inches too short) and could not be used. This caused great frustration during installation. Finally installed witout these brackets. They look great on the Sorento."

"The bars are great, the problem I had was the hardware was not all there, I was lucky that I was at a friend shop when the install was started, we had to weed through his stuff to get the correct hardware to complete the install. I was going to call but thought since it was done I wouldn't. It does make me think twice when ordering in the future"

"I order the Aries Nerf Bars for my 2008 Jeep Liberty by phone for my wife's birthday on Jan 5th. The phone rep assured me the nerf bars would fit my jeep and were very easy to install. When they arrived on time I installed them the same night in about one hour; the installing was just as easy as the rep told me. The other reviews that I read from other buyers about parts not fitting and instructions not clear simply told me that the other buyers no doubt ordered the wrong parts and could not read. My wife and I are very pleased with this purchase as we saved $175.00 by buyind direct and installing them myself with only one box wrench and one socket wrench. I sure glad I found the AutoAnything website as I have passed it own to friends."

"These bars are of good quality construction though on
one of the mounting braclets I received the saddle had been welded at a slight angle. Minor tweaking of the bracket corrected the fit. Other than the one minor issue these were a breeze to install in less than an hour with easy to follow instructions. Fit is excellent."

"The bars shipped quickly and arrived in good order. For once I read the instructions before installing something. Turns out all my organization was for naught as it turned out that the instructions were completely out of order. Still, the bars are well built, look great, and are very sturdy. You just have to rearrange the brackets and do a little trial and error."

Installation on my 2002 Toyota Highlander

"The nerf bars definitely have a front and rear, and the instructions do not explain how to tell the difference. I had to figure it out. I located the rubber plugs beneath my Highlander and removed them. I then tried to install the special bolts, which consist of short rectangular bars welded to threaded studs. Two of these could be inserted into the holes with no problem. Two of them required a hammer, but I eventually got them installed. The 3/8" diameter / 2" long special bolts were big trouble. It is impossible to install these without grinding off a substantial portion of the bar on the end closest to the threaded stud. After grinding off the first special bolt sufficiently, and being a little frustrated, I fit into the hole and it slipped out of my fingers. That was a serious problem since the hole is in a vertical portion of the outside chassis channel. I had to purchase a very special device containing an aluminum flexible rod with a very strong magnet on the end. I was lucky enough to put the magnet into the 5/8" diameter hole and after many tries, attach to the end of the threaded stud and remove the special bolt. After that, I was extremely careful and was able to complete the nerf bar installation. I am happy with the end result, but it was a struggle!!"

"I installed these Nerf bars in about 20 minutes on a 2002 Tundra. All bolt holes lined up and they are strong. My wife said she liked them as well getting in and out of the truck."

"Ordering was a breeze and these arrived promptly, well packaged. My son, a German car mechanic, who has experience in these things found the directions to be confusing and ultimately decided that they were written backwards -- directions for the front bracket were really for the back ones! Once he reversed everything, the bars went up quickly and look great. Just think "outside the box" when installing!"
