Very easy to install and looks great. However, they bolt into the body and not the frame, so i am worried that if i high center on them it is possible they may tweek my cab instead of slidingon the frame.

They installed in minutes, no glitches and they look great. (When your wife likes a truck accessory, you've got a winner. But then, after all, it's her truck.) Nice, heavy materials and a deep chrome finish. Thick, heavy steps - lots of quality. The price was fair and they arrived quickly. Nothing to regret, and everything to love.

Got these for my 2011 Tundra crew cab. Purchased based on the reviews from other Tundra owners and ease of installation. True to the comments, these were in fact easy to install, with zero holes to drill. I did have an assistant who helped hold the bar while I ratcheted in place, but that was about it. Only regret was not getting them sooner as they make getting in and out, so much easier.

55 ft lbs a bit high for the bar to mounting bracket bolts?

Just installed these on a 2009 Cheverolet Silverado crew cab and everything went on ok. I noticed when torquing the nerf bar to bracket bolts (1/2" hardware) the bars ended up buckling a little bit in order for me to achieve that kind of tightness. I'm not sure if this is because the mount bracket on the bars are welded a half inch deep or so inside of the bar (leaves less metal to mate the bar to bracket). Maybe most people are just wrench tightening those particular bolts and I should have as well?

Hi, The idea is to keep the bars firmly attached to the brackets with an even and gradual torquing to 55 ft lbs. Try torquing all of the bolts in a 3 step series.

Chevy's crew cab does not have an 8' box

Does the box length matter for cab length boards? On my 2013 Silverado 1500 crew, the box is 5' 8". Also, are the stainless steel ones made from 304L low carbon steel? And how do they mount on my pickup?

Hi, With different bed sizes often come different chassis underneath. We should have a 2013 Silverado 1500 crew cab 5'8" application very soon. Development can take a few months into the model year. Also, the polished bars are made of T304 stainless steel.

installing on 2011/2012 toyota tundra

for those of you who installed these on a 2011 or 2012 toyota tundra, was drilling required?

EASY install, brackets only go on one way and are stamped for location...DF=driver front,DC=driver center,DR=driver rear...etc. Holes line up perfectly and the brackets have elongated holes to level the bar.
