It is right where you need it when you need it but never in the way. makes getting in and out of the truck bed not only easy but safe. No chance of a blown knee jumping to the ground. As I get older this saves my knees crawling onto the bed. Must have accessory. Adds no weight and keeps the tailgate clear, unlike the bulky factory ladders etc. Must have. Installs on existing factory fender studs in under 10 minutes. Take two nuts off, slip on assembled step and reinstall the two nuts.

I just installed it a few weeks ago and seems to work and function well. The only complaint was trying to get to the top bolt and then removing the 22M socket. Which I actually left up in there and will need to go back at a another time to retrieve it. You have to pry a piece of the bed sheet metal (rib) with a pretty heavy bar in order to remove the socket. Brian

This is my third Trekstep! They work excellent. Easy installation and very sturdy. My current truck has the factory tail gate step, but you can't use it when you have a trailer hooked up. The Trekstep is at a better height than the factory one and you don't have the pole in the middle of the tail gate getting in the way.

After buying my 2014 F150 I realized how much higher the bed was compared to my Ford Ranger. I could not load it from the side and had to load and unload it from the back. This entailed getting up into the bed. I am a very active 70 year old but climbing in the bed was a chore. I looked at a number of solutions and decided ao the TrekStep. I am glad i did. It works great. Easy to operate and the installation was great. It works well with the tailgate up or down. When up it is hardly noticeable
