"My Aries Oval Nerf Bars arrived and I was ready to install...not really. While I had the tubes and brackets, I had no bolts or instructions. Call the shipper for the bolts, and finally 2-weeks later call Auto Anything, who follows up and gets me the bolts... Go to install and the tubes don't line up with the brackets?? Do I have another problem?? Remember another buyer reviewed the brackets were labeled for the wrong position on the truck...could it be? Yes the "Driver Rear" and Passenger Middle" brackets are reversed...Whew! I got them mounted and they look GREAT! So much for all the DRAMA...."

"These are very clean looking units, the quality shows through immediately. While the instructions are not overly explicit, the installation procedure is self evident, requires only a couple of wrenches, and went smoothly; no drilling or misalignment. The Aries bars look great on the truck, and even better, my wife likes the look and utility! (Just how often does your wife notice, much less like an add-on?) Finally, I could not believe how quickly Auto Anything got these to me."

"I am very pleased with these nerf bars in every respect. I had them intsalled in thirty minutes using the existing bolts from the chassis. They are sturdy and functional and the price would be tough to beat. All in all an excellent value in my opinion."

"Ordered Sunday night, at my doorstep by noon Thursday. All parts accounted for and instructions were simple (the F150 instructions so simple a caveman could do it). Installed and tested in 41 minutes, all you need is a 5/8 socket/driver, an 11/16 wrench, and torque wrench--24 bolts in total. Great nerf bars, look fantastic on the truck."

"After much going back and forth, I finally ordered these nerf bars, and I'm glad I did. They look fantastic, and I've gotten several compliments. The only thing that would've been better would be some decent instructions. It took me a little more than an hour to get them installed; however, 45 minutes of that was one side. As soon as I figured out how and where the brackets went on, it was easy. The instructions provided were absolutely no help. Overall, I'm very happy with them."

"I would highly reccomend these nerf bars to anyone looking purchase a pair. They really improved the overall look of my truck. They are super sturdy having three connecting points to the cab. The 4" nerf pad gives you added support getting in and out of the truck. The installation wasn't the easiest because the directions make little to no sense. However even with the bad directions it still only took about a hour to hour fifteen. Overall I'm very pleased with my Aries Black 4" Oval Nerf Bars."

"Someone who is apparently an illiterate language challenged idiot wrote these extremely poor instructions - most leaves the installer to look at a picture and try to figure it out. They are on and look good - I like the size shape and height but we had to remove the front mud flaps to get these on and cannot get them back on. 2 inches farther back would have been more like it."

"I can't believe that they haven't changed the instructions since I last read the reviews--they are garbage. They need to label front and back, left and right on the brackets. Come guys get with the program. Now onto the product-it looks great for the price. They sit a little too far foward into the wheel wells and might get in the way of front mud flaps. I would buy them again."

"I purchased the deluxe oval nerf bars for my 07 f150. The instructions aren't the greatest but once you figure them out they go on in about 20 mins. They are very sturdy and look great! They stick out a little bit farther than factory ones which make it easier to get out of the vehicle. Awsome product! Received in 4 days! Great product from a great company."

"I think that the Aries bars are ok. I thought that I was getting the original bars with the regular step pads in black but was shipped a different product than expected. Received the deluxe bars with a tall step pad and found out that is all they make for my truck, I should have looked more throughly and possibly went with either the Westins or the factories for a more stock look. I have purchased several items from Auto Anything and they are very helpfull and easy to deal with. This is entirely my fault for not examining into the items further. Thanks"

"Packaged o.k. but still had minor scratches in finish. Final polish could be better to eliminate problem. Brackets should be stamped with location of placement to make installation easier. Directions could be better. Solid feel and good look when installed."

Grainy XEROX instructions / improperly marked parts / NICE RAILS

"The title sums up my biggest beef. The instructions had two steps and two pictures. The two steps are all you really need, but the photos are so grainy, I couldn't tell which direction the photo was taken (front-to-back or back-to-front). As for the two-step instructions: perfect if the PARTS WERE IDENTIFIED. The brackets have part numbers stamped into them, however, they are NOT in any particular order. The instructions state "Note: the brackets are marked". They're marked alright. Had they been marked with any sense (simple front to back, driver side/passenger side, #T01-T06, NOT T06,T02,T03,T01,T05,T04 or whatever), the instructions would be perfect and you'd have these installed in a half hour. Have a tape measure handy to double check hole separation between brackets and on steprail, use common sense as to where pressure points should be, and you may be able to get it right the first time...I did, it just took two hours. They look beefy, but not out of proportion with a full-size truck. Extremely sturdy. It would have been nice to have ENDCAPS on the inside curve to keep dirt out of there. Overall, a bargain and highly recommended for those with a lot of patience. Good luck trying to swap out the hardware for stainless...I couldn't find stainless versions anywhere! I also purchased a can of undercoating for the brackets for extra protection."

"aries deluxe stainless steel oval nerf bars do look really nice on my truck. i think aries could do a much better job of providing instruction that are not universal and more vehicle specific. aries could also save money and time by providing the correct size bolts and brackets that actually fit each application for the vehicle. the bars that i put on my tundra sit closer to the cab towards the front by about 1/2 in. than the back of the truck. this is after i put both spacers, that were provided on the front brackets. i also turned the rear brackets over so the end of the bars had a flat surface to butt up to. the picture of the bars shown on the site are not what the bars look like when mounted on the tundra. all in all i am satisfied with the product but not the rear bracket set up, it could us some adjustment. thanks to autoanything great service and will order again from them."

"I received the nerf bars from AutoAnything within a few days after placing my order. I was very pleased with the quality of the bars when they arrived. They look very stylish on my truck and more importantly, they are very functional. The worthless instructions are extremely brief and nearly unreadable. I had to call the manufacturers to send me two longer bolts so I could mount them but they still sent me the wrong ones. I finally found some after searching nine different stores. I am not fond of how they are mounted but time will tell if they stay affixed."
