Description

Contractors, journeymen and foremen all agree that materials make the difference between a building that'll stand the test of time and one that'll collapse under its own weight. With this worksite wisdom in mind, Dee Zee designed the rugged, commanding Brite-Tread Running Boards using only the toughest ingredients.

At the heart of the Brite-Tread Running Boards' strength is the solid aluminum construction with garage-inspired diamond-tread texture. Not only is this alloy naturally non-rusting, it's treated with a clear powder coating to stop oxidation and corrosion.

Though your Brite-Tread Running Boards will probably outlast your rig, they don't take years to install. Using Dee Zee's groundbreaking Quick Bracket system (Ford and Chevy only), these running boards mount to your frame in no time with little or no drilling.

Best of all, your Brite-Tread Running Boards are covered by a 1-year warranty.

Notes

  • The Quick Bracket mounting system makes installing your new Brite-Tread Running Boards a snap. Many late-model Chevy and Ford pickups (not available for Dodge vehicles) will not need any drilling, and other vehicles require only a minimal amount.
  • Dee Zee's running boards for `99-'05 Chevy Silverados and Sierras feature a unique Deep Drop design. The running boards dip 3 ½" below the bottom edge of the vehicle and includes an integrated strip of body molding to fill in the gap.

"Product arrived in very good condition with all the parts. Installation required a good deal of effort. The running boards had no holes drilled. The top edge of the boards required the drilling of 1/4" holes that had to be matched to the holes in the frame of the truck. Two support brackets for each board had to be attached to the frame by drilling two holes in the frame and then two holes in the surface of the running board. Finding a good mounting surface on the frame was difficult and I had to cut away one bracket to make it fit. The boards had to be leveled while tightening up all of the bolts, and this required some finesse. I am quite satisfied with the end result but it was definitely more work than I thought it was going to be. The 4" drop on these boards is exactly what I was looking for to make it easier for my wife to enter and exit the truck."

"They are nicely built and installed easily. They arrived in perfect condition and the instructions where clear. I would have rated it perfect but it was short some washers and bolts needed to complete the install. There was a couple holes in the bag of hardware."

Replacment running boards

"I purchased the front running boards to replace a damaged set which was caused by accident. I was not able to find a direct replacement locally, but AutoAnything had the connection! I was amazed of the new mounting system. The boards went on in about 15-20 minutes per side, with adding a rust preventive solution to everything. The new style does not connect to the frame and cab, just the cab, but it is very rigid (uses factory located holes in cab). This also cuts down on drivetrain transmitted noise! The originals on my truck were about 8 years old, and the new style mated nicely with the rears (level and protrusion) .Nice product and minimal installation time, what more could you ask for? This complete set-up looks awesome on dually trucks, and it keeps debris off the cab and rear flares."
