"Wow! These running board/nerf bars are just great! Makes my SUV stand out even more. A word of caution, though. The installation instructions are of no help. I tried to install em myself- no go! I had them installed professionally by a local truck and SUV customizer, and was told that they had to notch the side skirts a bit to accommodate the brackets. But once installed, they are rock solid, and still a good value for the money. Free shipping from AutoAnything helps a lot."

"I was told that there were no running boards or side steps for my vehicle. I found these on-line and ordered them. What a GREAT find! I bought the stainless steel boards and they look awesome. I plan to take my Edge into the local auto parts experts to show them that they are missing out on the market, and to show off my new accessories of course."

"The construction of the Romik bars is good, but the instructions are just pictures and would be nice to have some words attached to know what to do."

"We just bought these for our H3. As far as looks go, they look great. The only thing I can find wrong with the way they look is that it seems like the rear brackets are just a little too long or the front ones are just a little too short. Which means, when you stand back and look at them there is a little bit more of a gap between the running board and rocker panel at the rear than there is at the front. It's not really that noticeable though. The thing that I have more of a problem with is the fact that they mount to the body mounts. They are plenty sturdy to stand on, but they make a lot of noise. I tightened all of the bolts to the amount of torque specified, and they still creak. But overall it's a small sacrifice because they look great. If you are curious, the tread part of the step IS metal, even though it is hard to tell in the pictures. I guess that the step part is just steel with a hammered texture paint that is black and grey, which looks silver from a distance. I hope this review has helped someone, because when I was researching these, this is the information I wish someone had given me."

"Like many of the reviews, mine came with the coating chipped and scuffed in about ten places. I guess that they could be touched up. But for $450 you'd think that they could ship them better. I would rate the packaging poor. I would have returned them, but they weigh 80 lbs. Overall design and appearance are excellent though. Try to but them locally and avoid shipping. Used for 2008 chevy silverado crew cab."

"The product was not able to be installed as the directions stated. The brackets were reversed on the directions and would not allow the board use when entering from the rear door. The bolt holes were too large(square) for the too few bolts (round) sent. This made a very weak method of bolt pattern. I will have to weld the underside in order to have stable boards. I was very disappointed with the bolting method. I spent a lot for the truck, I wanted a better finished product for the running boards when finished."

"The other nurf bars are so narrow and fit so close to the truck body they are not useful or safe to use when exiting the truck. These are wide enough to get safe footing on them when exiting and my wife no longer looks like she is going down a slide at the park when she exits our 2008 Tundra. Of course they work well for getting into the truck too. We got the stainless steel ones for our double cab Tundra and they look great. The instructions were good and I found them simple to install. We couldn't be happier with them!"
