"I bought the polished stainless steel Dominator III, they look great on my new truck. So far, I have not seen another truck with this step. People comment all the time how nice they look. I had my mechanic install them for me and when I when to pick up the truck I asked him how it went and he did not have nice things to say. He did not like how they install on the rocker panels only and warned me about using the third step since the supports are so far away. Also, I'm supposed to spray WD 40 once a week on the connections to prevent rust where the mounting hardware meets the truck. And in the winter the manufacturer recommends every day this be done due to road salt. These steps better not rust out my rocker panels or I will be very upset. The steps themselves might last forever but the way they are connected to the truck needs improvement. (Are you reading this GO Rhino.) I'm thinking about going to a machine shop and having them design me custom mounting system then patent it. Maybe sell it back to the manufacturer. Over all, the steps are no doubt the nicest looking on the market but the way it is connected to the truck really needs an overhaul. Bottom line, they still make me smile when I see them on my truck."

Re-design

"Instead on mounting to the sheet metal of the body, re-design the Nerf Bar to mount to the frame mounts the body uses. This would allow for a stronger mounting point and wouyls also allow for a support farther to the rear, thus supporting the Nerf Bar closest to the rear wheel. This would still make use of three mounting points. Just a thought.."

Great steps

"Great steps, strong and sturdy and are extremely impressive looking. Everybody who sees them gives me complements on them. The mounting is not too difficult all you are going to need is a drill, a ratchet and a buddy to give you a hand holding up the steps once in a while. The only thing that they could have made better is if they would have moved the rear mounting point further back on the body to support the overhang of the third step ( Side bed step ). Don’t get me wrong the third step supports me with no problems and im 320 lbs. it’s just since you have to drill new holes for the rear mount anyway and there is plenty of room there why not move it to as far back as possible. Great product and I would definitely recommended to anybody who is looking for steps and would like a durable and yet a different look. And it makes the truck look a little meaner too."

"I love how they look. Very sturdy, well made and you don't see them very often. Install was a little tough. I cringed every time I had to drill a hole. Big payoff when they are installed though."
