Westin 3" Signature Series Round Nerf Bars Part #25-1950 Customer Reviews

I wanted the right nerf bars for my 2011 GMC Sierra with the crew cab, so i shopped around and looked at the siderails on other pickups. I thought the ovular rails were too small, the 5-inch were too big and garish, and that the ones with the uncurved ends were not-so-hot either. Also, I worried that they would be too short. I ended up going with the Westin Signature Series Chrome (round)and am very glad I did. They're a perfect fit and make my truck look complete. Installation required 13/16ths, 3/4, 9/16ths sockets and a 1/2 inch drive ratchet. I used a cheater pipe on 1 frame bolt just because it was down there with me. The bolts they came with didn't fit my truck (too small). I re-used the existing 13/16-inch bolts with no problem. There was a smidge of locktight (light blue) on the bolts (no big deal). I put the mounts in loosely, bolted up the rail (front, back, then middle), tightened up the nerf bar to the mounts, then tightened up the front mount keeping it 1/8 of an inch away from the frame. Then I went down the line to the back (my crew cab had the middle mount, no drill needed). And 54 lb-ft on the frame bolts seemed to be just the right torque. I guess-timated by hand (no torque wrench on hand). Saved $110 on the install and I'm 63. (shhh). Would recommend Auto Anything and Westin.

Installation was a breeze after watching a few clips on youtube. This was necessary since the instructions were not very clear. Regardless, great product and they look great.

The nerf bars look great as an addition to my truck. Very easy to install by yourself although a second set of hands would make it even easier
