This is the 2nd time that I have ordered this style of step, with the black finish. I know that I will have the same problem with the coating deteriating. With all of the corrosive coatings of today, I think that you could at least powder paint, or frame and chassis coat this item so it would be resistant to the winter salt.

Because this step can be used on a wide variety of vehicles the instructions can be a little bit confusing. This is why I would suggest watching a video on the installation online first and then when you look at the instructions it makes a lot more sense.

I work 70hrs a week so it was just easier taking it to someone to install them for me once I noticed it required drilling and wasn't quite the snap project it appeared when buying something that was supposedly a match for my truck. But they do look awesome.

Just put them on my 2000 gmc Sierra 1500 slt and they look sick!! Makes it easier for me & passengers get in. If you have an extended cab I would recommend getting 2 pair. They still make my truck look tall on a 6" lift. My dads truck has a 6" lift also but he has the running boards so his looks smaller.

I am vertically challenged so climbing in and out of the F150 several times a day was back breaking. I was looking at running boards of some type, but I haven't seen any that don't rust out. These hoops are very sturdy and installation was easy. I highly recommend them.

Easy to install, look good. They attach to the lower part of the rocker panel, wondering if that sheel metal will hold up over time. We'll see.
