A friend install these for me and said he had never had anything go on so easy. They look awesome and really helps when it comes to getting in and out of my truck.

Oval Nerf Bars well worth the money.

I wanted the Nerf Bars because I am short and it was difficult getting into my husband's truck. They arrived fairly quick. My husband installed them on his truck in no time. He said they were easy to install. They look good and sure help me. I recommended them to my son.

Installation was easy. Drivers side front bracket hit cab-frame mount. Had to bend away to avoid terrible noise. Could have used stainless mounts. But, overall a nice product.

Nice bars - Not so nice instructions

After shopping around I opted for these 4" stainless bars with the lifetime warranty. One would think this product would come with all stainless hardware to match the bars but that's not the case. I would have been willing to pay extra for a stainless kit (brackets and bolts) but this wasn't even an option per an auto anything customer service Rep. The instructions leave alot to be desired. - The powder coated mounting brackets aren't marked - No torque spec listed for re-tightening body mount bolts. - No torque spec listed for bar bolts. Resist the temptation to use an impact wrench on the body mount bolts as this can damage the nut up inside you framework. You will need a 1/2" torque wrench or ratchet with a cheater pipe to remove body mount bolts as they come out very hard. After doing some research I found my 2011 Chevy body mount bolt torque rating at 54 ft lbs and tightened bolts back to spec. I also put some blue (servicable) loc-tite on body mount bolts contrary to the instructions suggestion to use never sieze. These bolts come from the factory with loc-tite on them so I'm not sure why the instructions suggest the never sieze. I did put never sieze on the bar bolts and completed both sides in about an hour. Guessed on the bar bolt torque but was careful not to over tighten. The bars seem sturdy to me and I go about 250 lbs. I'm a little skeptical on how the powder coated mounting brackets are going to hold up as I think they'll be a problem long before the bars go bad. Overall for a 4" set of bars for under $300 I'm very pleased with the product despite the shaky instructions. Tools needed for install on 2011 Chevy Silverado. 1/2" torque wrench 1/2" 4-6" extension 13/16" socket for body mount bolts (tighten to 54 ft. lbs.) 3/4" socket for bar bolts Never Sieze Blue Loc-tite
