We had fits getting one of the bolts back through the bushing and had to take it to a shop to get that part of the job done. The nerf bar on that side remained noisy until we had the truck into the dealer for an oil change and had them tighten everything up. Other than that, they weren't overly complicated to install. We referred several times to a web posting for the do-it-yourselfer for clear photographs and instructions.

Steelcraft is in serious need of reviewing how they do things. The bottom line is the bars are average quality, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The look decent and I didn't have to take out a loan for them. The aggravation I encountered was due to four brackets being stamped for the opposite side for which they really were to be installed on and some incorrect instructions that will leave you short two washers. Figure it out and they install fine, but it shouldn't be that difficult.

The instructions were fairly complicated, and there were some flat washers missing. It would have been clearer if there was diagrams or pictures of the parts, especially since the parts consisted if BOTH standard and metric! The product looks real good after installation, and apart from the frustration involved with the instructions.
