I got a great price on these nerd bars. Instructions could be a little confusing but once you get one side done the other goes quick. Remember NOT to tighten the extension brackets till the bar is on and there will be know probably. It was worth the money and time! The look great!

Looks ok. Installation was a nightmare. Not so easy to install. The front left bracket dis not align with the installation points and was missing one insert. Customer service at manufacture was outstanding however and they assured they would fix the problem. Time spent is what was nerve racking. All in all, not what I expected.

It would be helpful to get all the nuts, bolts and washers already separated. We found that that the bars were miss-labeled as to right or left side for our car. Another problem recently was that wet snow built up on the bars and blocked the door making opening from the inside difficult.

They were shipped fast. Good price. Great quality. The mounting instructions weren't detailed enough. The 8 mm inserts were hard to install. I had one strip out. Customer service was awesome when I called with my concerns. They had a new insert mailed to me promptly. I would buy them again. I will tell my friends to buy them.

I'm sure it is a direct installation for some models, but it was not a direct installation for the 07 Durango. The anchors seem like they're prone to failure, and the points at where the brackets connect to the vehicle were not very sturdy (sheet metal). It took a little bit of modification on the durango (drilling holes to use more substantial bolts in lieu of the cheap anchors, and reinforcing some of the areas where the brackets connect). After that was done, they were very sturdy.

When we ditched the minivan and switched to a Durango, my wife started complaining about the step up into the car for the kids. I found these step nerf bars, they arrived in a matter of days, and I put them on that same night. I was worried about installation, because I had read some reviews about bad (or difficult to read) instructions, but the instructions I received were fine, and I didn't have any problems with the installation. It took me a little less than three hours. They look great.

The installation was a challenge, and the instructions are a joke. The expansion nuts would not expand even when placed in a vice (poor quality control). I went to an auto parts store and bought replacements. In addition, the two sides (Driver and Passenger) were mislabeled (the rubber steps need to be in the correct location so check before installing). While I am not a certified mechanic, I am very familiar with this type of work. Including the problem with expansion nuts and driving to an auto parts store to replace them, it took me almost four hours to complete the job. They do look nice, and I would recommend them. However, be prepared to work out the problems. Loyst R. Streeter

Bars look awesome! Instructions take a little time to figure out but once the first bracket is done the rest are a breeze. Make sure to wax after installation for protection because they can easily be scratched. Overall a very nice product that I would recommend.
