I bought the SS nerf bars to replace rusted out bars from prior owner. The drop shipment was unexpectedly delayed by the manufacturer by almost 3 weeks. Hardware is decent, the finish is good, seems okay so far. Easy to install but the step-pad location made more sense with the bars reversed. Pads are oddly placed close to the front of the doors. As another reviewer mentioned, they don't drop down more than a few inches below the rockers, leaving little room for a toe-hold. Jury is still out.

The front brackets each have 3 holes and sets of bolts for installation. Three holes in the truck correspond properly. However, one of those holes already has a factory bolt in it and a second hole has a nut welded on it, the treads of which don't match the supplied bolt. Hence I was only able to attach the bar one the front bracket with two bolts instead on three. And one of the bolts had to be forced into the existing nut (rethreading it). I'm worried about long-term stablility.

I would have returned the Tuff-Bar 3 Step Bars, but from all the excitement , after receiving them, I threw away all of the packing material and boxes. The mounting brackets were tweeked and it made it difficult to install. They didn't look as good on my truck as I was hoping that they would.
