Rampage 2" Slimline Step Nerf Bars Part #26227 Customer Reviews

Out of the box the steps looked great. Instructions are pretty straight forward. removed all hardware and lined up the steps. I was short a few washers and locking washers... The bolts on the steps DID NOT line up nicely with the fold weld holes on the truck... What should have taken about 30 mins took about 2 hours. The steps looks great. Except the passenger side feels a little squishy when I step on it(missing Washers) The drivers side is solid.

These steps are a real pain to install. You need 2 people and a lot of tugging and pulling to get them on. The actual step platform on the front passenger side is tilted inward toward the cab. I contacted Rampage directly and while they admitted it wasn't right, they expected me to pay to ship the unit back then they would ship out a new one. Not acceptable. I turned the situation over to AutoAnything and am awaiting a response.

Install was fairly simple. Two people is a definate plus. I had them both on in about a half hour out of the box. The step is much improved over the factory boards, it gives an actual step to get in and out since ford has done away with the grab handle on the driver side. They seem plenty sturdy enough. Pricing was great and the coating appears to be durable.

Arrived in great condition, high quality material and construction. Installed by myself in about an hour. Was concerned about how the bars mount to the trucks, and whether it would be strong enough - once mounted and all bolts are tightened it is very securely mounted and seems very strong and stable. Looks great on the truck. Highly recommend.

Just installed them on my truck. They look great. It was a pain to install since my rocker panel looked messed up and the holes were off. But I fixed that and then it was an easy install. Shipped quickly will definitely buy from Autoanything again.

The delivery was fast. Install took about 1 hr. You will need help holding in place while you bolt up ,I used a jack on one end but a second person would be best. Studbolts lined up just OK with the trucks factory drilled frame holes , was a little tight had to use a rubber hammer to get sidestep framebolts thru the holes - but everything worked out good.

The installation was very straight forward but I had an issue getting the drivers side to line up. Of course I'm sure it didn't help I did the install alone. After they were on and tightened up I did some test steps and even stood on them for a minute to see if they would budge. They feel really solid and look like they will last a long time.

Great nerf bars!!!!! Better than expected. Powder coated finish and great look. A little tough to install alone but doable with a floor jack and some jack stands. Recommend two people. Will be ordering other products from autoanything.com real soon.
