2017 Audi Q7 Install

Reviewed By Russ E (Crosby, TX) Reviewed for a 2017 Audi Q7 —3/14/2017 8:31 AM

My wife found she needed the boards after we purchased the Q7. The 180 minute install is possible if you review all available videos and have some degree of experience working on vehicles. Helping my son who has modified every truck he's owned for the last 18 years, the first side took about 2 1/2 hours, but the second only about 1 1/4 hour. Went together with only minor cussing, and final product is solid and looks great. Chose the black boards with the Ink Blue exterior. Wife is happy.

Not so easy

Reviewed By Kenneth B (Centralia, WA) Reviewed for a 2016 Mazda CX-5 —9/23/2017 9:19 AM

Have a 2016.5 Mazda CX5 and I ordered a set of running boards for a 2016. Some holes were round that were needed to be oblong for mount brackets to fit. Had to grind them to work. Plastic underbody had to be cut around holes for other mount brackets to align. Once all this was figured out, the assembly was easy. I really like the look and they help my wife get in and out.

Classy

Reviewed By Dennis S (SOUTHLAKE, TX) Reviewed for a 2016 Jeep Cherokee —1/18/2017 4:19 AM

I had these for over two weeks and finally decided to have a local authorized Romik installer put them on. Glad I did as it took them 2 hours (labor book rate was 1-1/2 hours). They look very sharp and dressy on the car and serve their purpose. There are two areas needing improvement. To function better they could be a bit wider. Also, the mounting brackets are too far apart and the step flexes when stepped on.
