Luverne Grip Step Running Boards Reviews

2017 Silverado Double Cab

Reviewed By Paul B (PLYMOUTH, WI) Reviewed for a 2017 Chevy Silverado —9/20/2017 9:57 AM

Product is as titled, 'Grip Step'. Mounting hardware was pretty easy to install when vehicle is on a lift. Would like to have galvanized metal parts powder coated black to match running boards. Painted them black myself and it was a decent match. Overall satisfied with the product, feel very safe standing on these running boards to enter and exit vehicle. Wheel to wheel length allows some access to the truck bed from behind the cab. Would buy again for future vehicle.

Weld quality on driver side step was not uniform. Had been ground but was not consistent bead as the other steps. Overall the product is very good. Just being picky on the weld.

Good idea

Reviewed By Rodney W (East Greenbush, NY) Reviewed for a 2017 Chevy Colorado —9/1/2017 4:30 AM

Nicely made bars and great idea for removable steps, but... They do not mount to the body mounts on my Colorado as the video shows, they mount with clips to the cab body. The video showed a Jeep. Turns out thats the way GM does it OEM even on their ZR2. Not sure how they would really work as rock sliders on a Colorado. They do fill the gap and hide the pinch welds pretty well. First side took a half hour, the other side took 15 minutes. Lined up perfectly.
