Easy Install, weak rivets, sturdy, very wide boards

Reviewed By Tommy C (MANASSAS, VA) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —4/9/2015 10:16 AM

I purchased the black version of these boards/bars. The installation was a snap - about 25 minutes per board using ordinary hand tools. They are WIDE - they stick put about 1" past my stock tires. They are STURDY, but the end caps are riveted on, with very small, weak rivets. I found two of the rivet heads in the box when I opened it. Overall, I'm happy with the function, and form of the boards - they are large, low, without any dangerous gaps between the inside edge of the rail & the truck. 4*

LOOKS GREAT BUT -

Reviewed By DAVID R (OREGON, IL) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —4/3/2015 1:29 PM

The running boards look great on my 2015 Silverado and are extremely helpful for getting in and out. The installation was pretty easy, even for this 74 year old - HOWEVER, one bracket would not work because of an obstruction on the frame of the truck. The brackt that wouldn't work is on the drivers side and the third one back from the front. IF LUND would make a bracket just reverse of all the others it would fit perfectly. So, the drivers side has only three brackets and still works fine.

Rancher Rugged Steps Running Boards . good product

Reviewed By Steven R (FREDERICKSBURG, VA) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Silverado —6/23/2014 8:47 PM

This is a good product that used to be better. It only comes with side mounts and confusing instructions. This was a replacement due to rust out after about 5 years. highly recommend mud guards to protect the steps from tire spray. For my installation, I kept the two frame mounts from prior set of these steps and added the three fender mounts. one mount had the hole covered by a rubber plug while the other two had the per-threaded bolts. would recommend 3 frame mounts if available.
