"After lifting my truck the complaints from my wife and kids made me purchase these boards. I hated the look of the sissy bars and regular running boards are hideous. When I came accross the power boards, I thought this might work. Easy to install minus the poor instructions on wiring. Took me about 4.5 hours to complete. I like these boards, just wish they tucked under the silverado like the ford. Very high priced, but I think a divorce would be more expensive." —Timothy W from Eaton Rapids, MI bought an AMP Power Step Running Boards for a 2012 Chevy Silverado, Extended cab, 6.0L V8.
"THe installation directions are a contradictory mess - you'll spend more time staring at them and the parts list than you will actually installing the running boards. But it was worth the hassle. THey toughen up the look of your truck." —Brian C from Edgerton, WI bought a Go Industries Rancher Rugged Steps Running Boards for a 2012 Chevy Silverado, 1500, crew cab.
"Overall great value with good looks...Brackets are heavy coated plate steel. For the 2500 HD extended cab, 3 brackets are supplied. They are substantial enough for this intended purpose and more. The running board is of good quality. It could have been just a bit thicker in material (or additional ribs added) for stiffening the board when stepped on. Overall these are an excellent value, will be easier to clean than other types (with grooves and plastic mats)and will protect the under side of the rocker panels.
AutoAnything service and delivery was also very good and materials arrived intact and with proper quantities." —R. W. D from Oil City, PA bought a Dee Zee Brite-Tread Running Boards for a 2012 Chevy Silverado, 2500HD, extended cab, 6' 6" short bed, 6.0L V8.
