Raptor Series 4" OE Style Oval Nerf Bars Reviews

4" oval nerf bars

Reviewed By John S (SLIDELL, LA) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Silverado —7/27/2016 7:06 PM

I ordered the Raptor 4" oval nerf bars not really knowing what i was going to get,but gave it a try. The order was ship and delivered really quickly. when I opened the package I was Impressed on the quality of the product. It took less than an hour to install. They look and work great. The only thing is that the bolt that holds the center bracket stands out because everything is black except that bolt. Nothing that a can of black paint will not take car of. over all I am very impressed.

Lund 5" Oval Nerf Bars Reviews

Solid & as expected from the reviews

Reviewed By Marc A (Osceola, WI) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Silverado —8/28/2014 5:07 PM

The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The 2nd side installed easy, because by that time you only had the right parts left. The 1st side was a lot slower due to the instructions mislabeling the parts, about 1/2 the driver's side part numbers were actually for the passenger's side. At one point, I thought the parts/instructions must have been made in a country that drove on the left side of the road, but some were labeled correctly. Overall, I'm happy w/ them. They are solid & look good

Westin 4" Platinum Oval Nerf Bars Reviews

Westin Platinum Oval Nef Bars / 2002 Chevrolet Crew Cab

Reviewed By Mark M (Stafford, VA) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Silverado —2/26/2011 3:54 AM

Impressed with price and delivery time. Quality of packaging and condition of bars was excellent. Only complaint is that the directions provided by Westin were terrible and lacked sufficient detail. I realize that for a retailer/installer it becomes second nature - and it would be very easy after installing a set the first time. The directions included photocopied images of the install but were of such poor quality and were so small that they were useless. I actually researched and watched a video on YouTube (posted by that was excellent. In the video, the installer highlighted that the brackets should be labeled by position on the truck (DF, DC, DR, PF, PC, PR). Only two of my brackets were labeled. Additionally, orientation of the gusset (fore or aft) on the brackets is important, yet Westin's directions never mentioned it. Until Westin writes better instructions, I suggest that you watch one of the videos on YouTube and/or talk to an experienced installer.
