"Shipped a week later than they said they would, but worth the wait, they look good, gives your truck that different look from other trucks with running boards. Had to drill 12 holes in the pinch mold, and painted the heads of the bolts with black bed liner spray so they wouldnt stick out so bad. flex just a little bit but nothing to be concerned about. Wouldnt hurt to have a an extra pair of hands to help set the nerf bars on the brackets while you stick a set of bolts on." —Andrew D from Scottsbluff, NE bought a Go Rhino Dominator II Cab-Length Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"These bars are very good looking and very solid to step on i would recommend them to anyone and the service from autoanything was excellent." —Leonard R from Mount Dora, FL bought a Steelcraft 3" Round Step Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"I found the bars to be very easy to install. The finish is excellent and they look great on my truck. I installed them by my self in less then 1 hour." —Dan H from Paradise, KS bought a Putco Boss 4'' Side Step Bar for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"The Go Industries Nerf Bars were a pleasure to install. Straight forward instructions made for easy instilation. The fit and finish was also very nice." —Dennis M from Slingerlands, NY bought a Go Industries 3" Cab Length Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram.
"Let me start out by saying that I am a first time buyer from AutoAnything and I would return again. Their service and effeciency was excellent. Took about a week from time of order to arrival.
The bars out of the box and om my truck look amazing. You can see and feel the quality. Although time will tell.
I did have some problems with installation. There were some extra brackets (4) in the box. I read the instructions (which could have been better) and there was no way they were going on my truck like they said it would. I think they must be for the 2500 series truck because it's the same inst'l kit for my 1500. Anyway, took me about an hour from start to finish and almost half of that was trying to figure where those brackets went. In the end I just left them off. There is a little flex on my bars when I step on them because they are only bolted to the body mounts which have that rubber doghnut. I think they will be sturdy enough but would have prefered them a bit more solid.
All in all... good looking bars that do the trick and were a snap to install. I would recommend them." —Steve B from Mukilteo, WA bought a Westin 3" Signature Series Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram.
"The Reward - a very serviceable, sharp-looking upgrade.
The Challenge - second-guessing the very poorly prepared instructions. It took much longer to install because of how the instructions were written. I am a tech writing instructor - these would get a grade of C-." —Samuel N from Pittsburgh, PA bought a Westin 3" E Series Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"I love the look of my nerf steps and they are way better looking than normal nerf bars (in my opinion). They ride close to the truck body and look great. They are not simply bolt on however. Understand that you will need to set aside ~3 hours and be ready to drill 12 holes in your truck. Well worth it in my opinion but I was a little surprised when I opened the box." —Chad B from Kent, WA bought a Smittybilt Nerf Steps for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab, 6' 4" short bed.
"These bars are pretty easy to install. Did it in my drive with out jacking up truck. Did get a little snug with the bars in place. Instruction were pretty good as well. So far have had nothing but good feed back from everyone who sees them and my height challenged wife and kids love the easier entry into the truck. Got the stainless steel so should outlast truck" —Floyd K from Hawkins, TX bought an Aries 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"The bars look good on my silver truck, however they mount to the pinch mold with shiny silver bolts that stick out like a sore thumb. Overall I like them they look good and even with where they mount they hold all 350lbs of me with no movement. A can of balck auto paint covers up the bolts nicely" —Brian D from Jacksonville, FL bought a Go Rhino Dominator II Cab-Length Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram, Quad cab.
"Have Iron Eagles on one unit;excellent set.Tuff-Bar are as good for a fraction of the cost.Would definitely buy again." —Jim B from Atlantic, IA bought a Tuff-Bar 3" Step Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram.
"Once installed, these bars look great! The installation instructions are fairly straight forward, although better pictures would be nice. The only difficulty I ran into was removing the body bolts to install the brackets, but an impact wrench and some lubricant took care of it." —David R from Omaha, NE bought a Westin 3" E Series Nerf Bars for a 2005 Dodge Ram.
