"The Westin Platinum Series Nerf Bars look great on my 07 Ford F-150. Installation was as easy if not easier then described. I would recommend them to anyone looking to add a little shine to their vehicle and easier access." —Andrew B from Jamesville, NY bought a Westin 3" Platinum Series Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCab.
"I leveled my 2007 F150 and bought these in hopes I wouldn't tear my seat up getting out of the truck. I've had them on for a month now and have been very happy with them. They are low profile and don't stick out too far. The only bad thing is that the step can sometimes be a little tricky to find getting out, especially when covered in ice, until you get used to it. The install took under an hour in my driveway with a socket wrench and a box-end wrench. Highly recommend!" —Austin C from Idaho Falls, ID bought a Go Rhino Dominator II Cab-Length Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150.
"I bought the nerf bars for my son for Christmas. We installed them in about an hour. The quality and fit is excellent. I highly recommend these for the reasonable price, great look, and ease of installation." —Tim K from Childersburg, AL bought an Aries 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCab.
"I like the appearance of these side steps but I don't think the brackets stick out far enough. My foot barely has room to step on them before hitting the bottom of the truck. Also, one of the bars had two dents in them when I opened them up, they were on the inside so it didn't bother me too much. All in all though... good product." —Terry R from Waterville, KS bought an Aries 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCrew.
"Very pleased with the step bar, finish was great, easy to install, good directions and the bracket fit well and where easy to use. Only issue was the parts package was missing one lock and one flat washer." —William W from Conway, SC bought a Tuff-Bar 3" Step Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150.
"First I am not a tool guy. But I thought I could install myself and save a few bucks. But after trying to read the instructions several times, I gave up. The instructions were very very poor. I would have paid for a short instruction DVD, or a short video from the company. I took my 2007 Ford F-150 4x4 to my local garage and had them installed. I did get a chance to watch him install the bars and with better instructions I could have done it myself. Over all the bars look great and are well made and worth the money. Now my wife can get into the truck without any problems." —James T from Fulda, MN bought a Westin 3" Signature Series Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCab.
"Fit great, look great, good value,
WORST installation instructions I've ever seen!" —Michael B from Waverly, PA bought a Westin 3" Signature Series Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCab.
"Bars look great, priced right, and solidly constructed.
Only complaint - one page schematic 'instruction manual' is horrible. I went the the Steelcraft manufacturers website and downloaded the full manual. Easy after that. Make sure you have metric and AES tools before starting the job." —Chet F from Somers, NY bought a Steelcraft 3" Round Step Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150.
"I had looked at so many version of steps and couldn't be happier with what I got. Fast delivery, easy installation, and they look perfect. The only thing I would change is the perforation on the step isn't rough enough to eliminiate slipping. All around a great buy and they are identitical to the more expensive N-Fab version." —Thomas N from Prescott Valley, AZ bought a Smittybilt Nerf Steps for a 2007 Ford F-150, SuperCrew cab, 5' 6" short bed.
"The Aries Nerf Bars are a great product for a price you cannot beat. The bars came expertly packaged and arrived quickly. I downloaded the directions from Aries Website to have a clearer view since the instructions were a copy and not as clear.
PROS: Took me a moment to figure out which one goes on what side but all the other pieces and parts were stamped with initials for Drivers "D" or Passengers "P" which was a big help in laying everything out. Instructions were very well detailed in the narrative for each step and there were coordinating pictures that helped with what you were doing. Lifetime warranty on the polished Stainless Steel is great and fit on the vehicle is perfect as well.
CONS: Narrative for each step was up front with the pictures following behind all of the narrative for all of the steps of installation. I spent a lot of time reading then flipping to picture referenced and trying to figure out just what was being done in each picture. It would be MUCH more helpful if the narrative was broken up with each picture for each step. Also good illustrations for each of the major pieces but all of the screws were not pictured I.e. 10MM x 30MM, 8MM x 35 MM. When trying to decide which screw was the 10x30 vs. 10x24 etc wasted a significant amount of time.
All-in-all these Bars are a must to your 2012 Dodge Durango Citadel and expertly accent the chrome strip on the bottom of the Citadel Edition." —Paul M from Vandalia, OH bought an Aries 3" Round Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150.
"I got the nerf bars on a 07 f150, lifted and blacked out and they look great. The instructions don't help much but all you do is take the factory screws out and then put the new screws in with 2 flat washers, then a locking washer and then a nut. Should only take you an hour to install. the step is pretty then but they work fine." —Zach W from Roswell, GA bought a Go Rhino Dominator II Cab-Length Nerf Bars for a 2007 Ford F-150.
