Power step on 2009 f150

Reviewed By Anthony M (SAN ANTONIO, TX) Reviewed for a 2009 Ford F-150 —8/22/2015 9:43 PM

These steps are great. They work exactly as stated. My truck has a 6" lift with 35" tires and getting in and out is a breeze now. Also because these steps retract so well they give the truck a taller look. The LEDs shine bright. Installation was a little tougher than I expected. To be able to splice the connections needed I found it was easier if I removed the passenger seat to allow me to work.

Nice looking boards

Reviewed By Jay P (Larrabee, IA) Reviewed for a 2009 Ford F-150 —7/5/2010 10:14 PM

I bought these boards to protect my rocker panel, and to assist in getting into the truck. I bought wheel to wheel coverage for this reason. As far as looks, and protection, they are exactly what I wanted. I am not sure what the problem is with the instructions, I think they are written for my truck, but some of the pictures were incorrect, I was also shorted two nuts, but had two extra bolts. Also the instructions would say there should be 8 pieces of a certain part, when there was 6, and only suppose to be 6, so don't know why they say 8. I am one who actually reads the instructions and lay the parts out, so this annoys me when they can't get the number right. I also had to grind some of the bolts that went under the step, they didn't slide right in the channel. It surprises me when the quality of the product is very nice, but they skimp on the instructions. My guess is since they have so many applications for different trucks and years, they get messed up between them, but I find this inexcusable, I am not an engineer, and I can find all the errors. Anyway they look real nice, my only complaint with the looks, is the front step and rear step don't line up, the rear is higher and level, where the front is lower by an inch, and tilt down a little. Maybe I didn't install them right, or this is by design, its not too noticeable, and I can live with it. Anyway I would buy these again, and I would do business with autoanything again. Their prices were low, and the product came promptly.
