Westin Pro Traxx 5" Oval Nerf Bars

Reviewed By David C (VANCOUVER, WA) Reviewed for a 2017 GMC Sierra —1/29/2017 8:26 PM

I chose the Westin nerf bars because they have no end caps that will come off (solid metal ends). My hesitation was with a few reviews sighting cheap hardware. The bars arrived looking great and I found the hardware to be satisfactory except for one item. The M8x16mm yellow zinc flat washers were too small and thin, as the mounting bracket slots were over-sized for the bolt. A $8 fix at the hardware store. 3 of the plastic steps did not fit completely flush with the bar - barely noticeable.

Westin HDX Running Boards Reviews

HD-X is accurate naming

Reviewed By Michael F (LAKE PARK, GA) Reviewed for a 2015 GMC Sierra —7/6/2016 7:22 AM

These running boards are not flashy, They are strong and somewhat, low profile. Stout and rugged, Made in USA and superior in quality and craftsmanship. No drill application for my 2015 GMC HD2500 gas. My truck is white and the powder coat paint on the running boards is flawless diamond plate. 30-45 minute install. Front mud guards not are not an issue for this model truck. Excellent product. Recommend to all who want quality with this application description.

Westin Sure Grip Aluminum Running Boards Reviews

Difficult to install

Reviewed By stephen B (MEDFORD, OR) Reviewed for a 2002 GMC Sierra —4/4/2013 12:11 PM

I installed the running boards on my new (to me) 2002 GMC PU. I like the price and the looks. Drilling and bolting the brackets was easy once I figured out that I had to bend the skirting down with vice grips to get the bolt through the skirt. But installing the bracket with the supplied self drilling screws was impossible. I ultimately ended up using pop rivets. The first side took 4 hours to finish. the second side 1 1/2.
